I think the one party rule is now inevitable. Honestly speaking, awami league seems pretty strong and determined to continue with its agenda regardless of the opposition. I'm not too sure how credible this claims are but according to some sources, journalists who are speaking against the govt are being abducted or jailed for seditious charges. There is a direct pressure from the govt to censor stories which might "hurt" national interest and journalists are constantly threatened for reporting "abduction" or "missing person" stories.
BNP and Jamaat seems pretty spineless and weak, and I doubt the hartals or any mass demonstrations will cause any change. Anyways, seems like awami league is here to stay for a pretty long time.
If what has been written is true where people including journalists can be abducted and disappear permanently, then indeed there is little difference between Bangladesh and some tiny South American republic which exist on the export of bananas.
I wonder if the Opposition is that spineless. They have, are holding, and will hold in the future, the Govt of Bangladesh, its industry and commerce, its law and order machinery, hostage and to ransom. That is hardly being spineless and they have planned to do so during the Holy month of Ramadan too!!
The AL regime is nothing new in BD politics. Mujib became a dictator with a steamroller. The Rokhi bahini were blood thirsty animals in the same league as BSF. We all know who trained Rokhi bahini. We survived those nightmarish days. In those days people would be picked up never to be seen again. We just saw a repeat of Mujib dictatorship as the BNP leaders were beat up like the way Rokhi bahini used to beat up and maim AL opposition.
Old habits die hard.
Old habits die hard.
All parties, it appears are the same.
When in power they do it, when out of power they still do it. Do what? Hold the Nation, its people, its industries, its commerce and more importantlym it progress as hostage and to ransom.
Nothing out of the ordinary.
Another day's work, so to say!
Matter of fact, many opposition leaders and activists has been picked up even in this regime and never seen again. Back then we had some disgruntled army men to take care of the fascist regime, but this time I see no hope.
The Opposition leaders abducted and never to be seen again?
Does speaks volumes of the tolerance, patience and total indifference of the people of Bangladesh that such thuggery has happened, happening and will happen and all are moribund, supine and listless!!
A job killing little girls deserves Bharot ratna. I doubt there is any award for fighting real military/paramilitary forces. It is probably unheard of in India.
On Topic:
she is going by her daddy's old formula. AL in every governmental position.
Folks just have to put up with this for a few more years.
Who is killing little girls?
And how?
