I think exports increase with more percentage in previous govt times between 2016 and 2017 october comparison despite rupee value was higher at that time,major problem at that time was rise in imports which is fixed by pti but export rise is still not satisfactory

What can Pakistan export?
There isn't anything except agricultural products and cement only thing which can be done is to decrease imports

you have posted data based on monthly comparison of pti govt performance in this thread and not on overall basis so I posted monthly breakdown of previous govt exports,I have acknowledged pti efforts to reduce imports but rise of exports are not satisfactory considering govt provision of rebates to exporters and devaluation of currency as well as good internal security conditions and decline of terrorist attacks as compared to previous govt tenure

So kindly would you like to tell us.What was the export value in dollar terms in

October 2015---------$ 1662 millions
October 2016---------$ 1750 millions

It's not governments job to produce things government is not running businesses
If your income is low what would you do first would you cut your expenses or would start taking loan to meet your expenses

In 5 years of pmln govt, Pakistan exports fell by $ 5 billions which is on average $1 billion lost per year. Instead of increasing exports, pmln turned blind eye towards decreasing exports thus resulting in huge current account deficit. I understand, because of cpec, pmln govt had to import heavy machinery in huge numbers as infrastructure and energy projects were setting up all over the country so imports rise was understandable although had they prioritized some of the cpec projects, they would had controlled rising imports gap smartly which current govt of PTI is doing it.

Where as in 1st year of PTI govt, exports has remain stagnent with little increase but govt is expecting major increase by next year after signing an export deal with China couple of months back. So if pti govt managed to increase Pakistan exports by $3-4 billions by the end of their tenure than it will be a great achievement.

no it DIDNT..provincials and federally PML N got more votes, more seats, but didnt form govt due to independents joining PTI(thanks Mr tareen)..

first two years you cant expect rise, its not easy to reverse a down turn...
i dont expect exports to rise this year either....
probably not even in 2021...
last 2 years the exports will pick up...

the only qucik way to rise exports is services areas, which PTI isnt doing much, IT is area neglected
textile is cut throat competition, and countries like Bangladesh where labour is cheap and no social security cant be beaten...

Pakistan thus needs to play its advantages..that is domestic cotton, improve production, make it cheaper, improve infrastructure, improve education, and R&D and work on services and new avenues

it needs to address food import issue of oil, pulses

In 2013 PTI won about 30 seats in Punjab assembly which are less than 10 percent and in 2018 about half and is getting stronger with each passing day
And tareen ka koi Kamal nhi tha independents always side with stronger party
