1. There are 1.4 billions Chinese use Android without Google, they have no problem with it.

There are many apps which can has similar functionalities like google apps, including search engine, maps, youtube.

Also google can stop people from installing google apps, but google can NOT stop people from using google internet service in internet explore. and you knew how easy it is to have an HTML 5 app which connect google service, such as youtube, maps and so on.

There are market controlled, or hugely influenced by US, there are free market which US can do little about it. China own OS/customized OS can take that piece of pie and live.

It's not easy to convience people to use Google-free Android phones outside of China. Average users won't deal with downloading third-party APK's of alternative Play Store, specially in Europe which is dearly important market for Huawei. That's a fact.

One way or another Google have power to hurt Huawei or others. And it doesn't change the fact that Huawei still dependent on an American product.

The world need an alternative, competition is good for everyone for long run.

Good. I am too, we can agree on that. If China do NOT fight back, and let US hegemony continue, the world hurts more. Ottoman Empire is one of the greatest empire in human history. 600 years, hard to imagine. People from Turkey should NOT and will NOT bent to Yankees, which I believe. As long as Turks still remember their glory, I bet Turkey will one day join China/Russia to challenge any other countries who want to manipulate and control Turks.

That's the price we pay for independence. Chinese hate any hegemony which dictate China. If that's the price we need to pay, so be it.

China has many Android phone companies, Huawei, OPPO, VIVO, Xiaomi. All of them update their OS without any problems. They all have their own app store as well.

As I said, people used to live with Google service, but it's not that hard without google, and plenty of alternatives.

I remember western analysts were saying a couple months ago that Huawei would need at least 3 years to become independent of U.S. chips. Looks like Huawei is still being underestimated.

Android is open software which means it's free...

Actually, depends on which "Android" you are going after. It may or may not be refer to as Open Software

Android core code which was written in Linux Kernel, which is an open source software, so the core code of Android are consider an open platform.

On the other hand, Android core code is not solely used as is with any Android Device, basically our phone have a mix of licensed code (added by third party) and open source code (the core and add on) and the developmental right for android software are actually with google. Huawei can and I think they actually did develop their own Android based OS, but they cannot be called "Android". So while Android itself is not considered a copyrighted software, but the "Android" in our phone actually is.
