ISLAMABAD, June 1 (Xinhua) -- At least 42 people were killed and 135 others injured in 39 bomb blasts in Pakistan during the month of May as the militants conducted terrorist attacks across the country, according to official statistics.
Out of total 39 bomb attacks, two were of suicide nature, which killed eight people and injured 15 others in different areas of the country.
According to the statistics, on month-on-month basis, the number of causalities during the month of May were more than three times less than the causalities occurred during the same period last year.
During the month of May no high profile target came under attack, but militants carried ones targeting civilians, security forces and police.
