ISLAMABAD, Aug. 24 (Xinhua) -- Four coal miners were killed by unknown gunmen in capital city Quetta of Pakistan's southwest Balochistan province on Tuesday, a rescue official said.

The incident happened in a coal range of Marwar area, located 43 km away from the downtown city, and the bodies have been shifted to a nearby hospital, Muhammad Zeeshan, manager of operations of the rescue department of the Edhi Foundation in Quetta, told Xinhua.

He said that the miners were missing at about 11:00 p.m. (local time) Monday, and their bodies were found by paramilitary troops Frontier Corps (FC) on Tuesday afternoon.

The official said that two of the bodies have been identified as the laborers who came from the country's northwest Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province, while the other two are in the process of identification.

The FC personnel have kicked off a search operation in the area to find the traces of the gunmen involved in the incident.

No group has claimed the attack yet, but in the past, such incidents were either attributed to or claimed by separatist groups of the province who are against working of laborers coming from other provinces in Balochistan's coal mines

The elitist government with a slogan for poor has lost all sympathies from the masses. The state continues to fail to protect the weakest.

Balochistan is slipping into chaos.

How disgusting and unfortunate.

Hopefully those murderers will be brought to justice.

This is normal though unfortunate. Nation has to pay the price for the coward, incompetent leadership. Looks like state will also go down the gutter together with Bajwa and IK.

I am starting to think that neglecting Balochistan, and continued terrorism in the province might be ISI's plan to slow down progress in CPEC. But this raises the question, why ISI wants to jeopardize CPEC in the first place?
I am only putting pieces of the puzzle together. I am just as confused as the other guy. What do you guys think? Even mythical monsters won't be a bad guess at this point.

As the americans, nato and india are kicked out of Afghanistan, their proxies are trying to cause as much chaos as they can in Pakistan before they are permanently liquidated. These are the last rites and death throes of a dying insidious force. Remember it took 20 years for them to reach this level and it will take at least 2 years for them to be finally neutralized. The last thing the Pakistani state needs is large civil disturbances. We need to end this strife cautiously, efficiently and unfortunately patiently.

One more attack on Chinese in Pak and Chinese will be packing their bag.

I understand we have several big enemies against us but why ISI cannot infiltrate those terrors networks and disable them from inside ?
