There never was a total naval blockade. That's why our naval commandos had to launch Operation Jackpot against Pak ships.

And what were the rebels fighting with? Surely not bows and arrows.

India was the most convenient source of weapons, but not the only source. No rebel force in history has ever surrendered to the enemies because "some neighbor declined to supply firearms". Even landlocked NE and Burmese rebels managed to get their hands on a range of infantry firearms through "underground sources".

LOL, the arrogance in your posts are just overwhelming. Your govt even can't control insurgency within your boundaries, let alone fight BGB. We all know the BSF can't take care of the any terrorism activities in the border, rather just shoot innocent unarmed civilians. If your attitude was any reflection of BSF's strength and our BGB was as weak as you claim, Bangladesh would be a hotbed for terrorists. Bangladesh is like a nightmare for all terrorists, while India is a safe haven comparatively.

You know Pakistan army was in picnic mode and was so unprofessional. i was told by my father they used to eat in my grandfather's house but never checked inside of the house which was a heaven for freedom fighters as my uncle was a freedom fighter..
