My point has always been that had Afghans been smart and turned to Turkey, China and the remaining Muslim world (including Pakistan) and kept India out of it, the GHQ would have not reacted.

Turkish institutions are first rate -- their educations standards are excellent -- I have not idea why Afghans did not turn to Turkey [ok you hate Pakistan] to help develop a new Afghanistan.

Article here, excerpts below:

A group of 389 Afghan policewomen arrived in their homeland on Thursday after receiving six-month training in Turkey.

Turkey has trained nearly 3,000 Afghan police officers and the policewomen are being sent to the country regularly after a protocol the two nations signed in 2011.

One question, what'll you feel what Pakistan will do if Afghanistan asks them to stay away from China??

Pakistanis will be like "And not a single F*** was given that day".

Same goes for Pakistan and its GHQ as well on what they feel Afghanistan should do.

on topic..

Afghanistan trains its soldiers and police into various countries.Recently they're discussing to send their Special Forces to India to train.

Pakistan already does that, Pakistan limits it's contact with Iran, which is the cradle of so much of the Muslims world's culture because Saudi Arabia is not keen about it [and million of Pakistanis work in the Saudi Arabia and not in Iran] -- you're point?

The point simply is that Afghanistan can get everything it gets from India [and much better] elsewhere, for example Turkey + China as does Pakistan. Why on earth would they annoy Pakistan to have relations with India -- to me it does not make sense? Turkey is important for their Northern Corridor, Pakistan for their Southern corridor.

I mean for a Muslim boy from the provinces want to go to school in say IIT Delhi, Bombay or Khargpur, or say Bogazici, Bilkent or ODTU in Turkey -- the answer would clearly be Turkey -- similar culture, similar language, cleaner, closer to Europe, better education.

Again feelings have nothing to do with it -- it's realpolitik.

Hell they're even neighbors with China?!

Now, surely you must have known this -- so why the huff and puff.

the reason why they're mingling is with India is the reason why Pakistan is mingling with China.Realpolitik is playing along with reality and not asking why this country is doing that and such.Afghanistan has enough reason why they dislike Pakistan and as a Pakistani,I think you're quite well aware of that.

Now now easy there fella , China and Afghanistan have no dispute like india and Pakistan have over Kashmir , nor has China supported terrorists in one part of Afghanistan like India did in East Pakistan , so there is no equivalence

indian presence in Afghanistan is directed at Pakistan and we'll make sure that this threat will be uprooted one way or the other and we'll make sure the afghans understand this one way or the other

The thing Pakistanis fail to understand is,Afghanistan is not bound to follow what Pakistan thinks or wants from them.Afghanistan is free to follow whichever path they think suits them.Pakistan is trying blackmailing them using their proxies as they've little diplomatic clout over them. The sooner they'll understand this simple fact, the better it'll be for this region.

So are china and afghanistan enemies?

China and Afghanistan are neighbours, just like India and Pakistan are.

whole question is who is who, rather some Pakistani advising another country not to mingle with another neighbour is as foolish as India advising Pakistan to not mingle with OIC.

What a marvelous exposition of the theory of mingling in foreign affairs.

why waste your time -- it is senseless to engage in dialog with people who are arguing in bad faith.

Afghanistan is free to pursue whatever policy she likes. But wisdom is always a good thing to have when pursuing policies. (I also say this to Pakistan as well).
