I think population control should come down on people/groups that consume more than they actually produce on per capita basis.

A net saving East Asian country should not be preached about population control because these people, no matter how low educated they might be, are still better educated on planning ahead.

Let's not worry about China gobbling up world resources before China reaches to the levels of consumption that it is legitimately entitled to.

Its not about China gobbling up world resources, but about China's own sustainbility. China is not resource rich, especially when it come to ariable land. With the current population, China does not have food security, and that means in time of war, China will be at mercy of others.
