Nearly 30 satellite launch orders at hand for ISRO's Antrix

Emerging as a global competitive provider for satellite launches, ISRO's commercial arm Antrix Corporation has almost 30 orders at hand from different countries for satellite launches which are scheduled to be completed in next two to three years.

ISRO Chairman A S Kiran Kumar said tonight that the organisation is working on increasing its capabilities on critical technologies. "We have (orders of) almost 30 odd satellites from about 7-8 countries.

"We have to put them into orbit in next two-three years and we are working on it," he said.

"We are working on various projects and technologies. Yesterday, we had put the 57th international satellite into orbit and many more launches will be there in the next couple of years," he said. No confirmed orders,but ISRO cheif have indicated that 'foreign customers' have expressed their interest in gslv.

Sadly,we can only produce 2 CE 7.5s an year,until HAL's integrated cryogenic engine production facility goes operational.

I am sure.After gslv mark 3 is made operational in 2018-2019 Antrix's revenue will see exponential growth.

Max GTO payload would be 4 ton anyway with GSLV-3
Unlike other big boys going for double that numbers.
This is where heavy Communication satellites end up.

In this year, ISRO launched 4 PSLV and 1 GSLV from 1 assembling center and 1 launch pad
Second launch pad is not being fully utilized.


ISRO have currently 2 launch pad. 1 assembling center and 1 close to completion by 2017 Jan

ISRO needs more 1 assembling center taking toll to 3

From 2020 onwards they should target=>
1. 2 assembling center can assemble 10 PSLV in a year

2 weeks is time for 1 launch pad integration,final testing. So we can have 0.8 launch a month

2. 1 assembling center can assemble 5 GSLV in a year

By 2020, they need another launch pad for humane flight missions
