30 held at Benapole while attempting intrusion in India

Well, as if Indians don't enter Bangladesh illegally, difference is the Bangladeshi who go to India illegally generally go there for better wages but the Indians who illegally enter Bangladesh come purely for political reasons.
ok.. how many Indians do you think enter? 100s? 1000s?
btw your idea of BGB not stopping their people, is it specifically for India or every counry. Do you think its job of UK for example to stop bd migrants, and BD can just say not our job (trying to stop and failing is a different issue, no agency is perfect).

.
BGB is made to protect our interest, not stop people leaving the country, so that they can find livelihood somewhere else. They would have only stopped them if they were carrying guns or drugs, don't think we have any sort of agreement with India regarding trespassing.

I thought BGB's job was to keep things from the other side of the border from entering Bangladesh. They didn't have any sort of weapons, drugs, gold, illegal or counterfeit money but were going there for looking for jobs.

Clearly shows what Hasina has turned Bangladesh into, an Indian satellite state, making the BGB work for India. Even Indians can't disagree.

Guess what, shooting an unarmed person is considered crime by International laws and torturing them well, that is even worse (BSF does that).

of course .......but its more crime to come a country where 400 million is below poverty level stanching opportunity from them and then acquiring voter illegally (criminal offence) to change outcome of poll ...............changing the demographic
then every bdians deny that there is not illegal bds in india on top of this..........showing hostility towards us.........

bsf has every right to shoot first and talk later......

@BDforever @Luffy 500 @idune Take a look at this.
I like Jamaatis. Their intelligence is always below that of house pets.

Hey razakar Newazi, it is the job of every law enforcement agency including BGB to prevent and/or ensure that their citizens do not indulge in breaking laws. Its international law.

Trying to enter India without legal documents/passport is ILLEGAL. Regardless of whether they were poor or were going for medical treatment or going to blow themselves up( like Jamaatis and razakars do), it is an illegal activity.

That BGB was able to apprehend them shows that BGB's capabilities to enforce borders is improving.

Kudos to Bangladesh!

This is a problem since 1971. Many poor Bangladeshis believe that they have the right to enter India minus the papers. India offers them a better life when it comes to work and salaries which they remit to Bangladesh to support their families. Before independence from the Brits, these areas enjoyed free flowing traffic without border restrictions and given the lack of animosity between India and Bangladesh on any political scale, I guess the question on the minds of these people remains "what are we doing wrong?". India needs to engage with Bangladesh for Indian companies to invest in that country and in turn to receive tax incentives from Bangladesh conditional that they pay good wages. It will be a win win situation for both nations. The Bangladeshi staff who work for my family in Delhi (they are there legally) often tell us about the situation back home. They have a bad enough life as many of India's poor but the opportunities are much more available in India than in Bangladesh. Just turning them back at the borders will not be sufficient. They will make a plan to cross the border and frankly, I don't believe that any sane Indian will support the killing of a man who is simply crossing the border to earn enough money in India to feed his family in Bangladesh

Bangladeshis infiltrators cannot just be presumed as economic migrants they are involved in terrorist activities and pose a national security threat.Best solution is to provide work permits to economic migrants on the basis of their skills under strict supervision. illegal infiltration cannot be justified, action should be taken.
