30 held in Benapole while attempting intrusion into India | New Age

Members of Border Guard Bangladesh arrested 30 people while they were intruding India illegally through Sadipur border in Benapole of Jessore on Friday night, United News of Bangladesh reports. Tipped off, a team of border force launched a drive along the frontier and arrested them on charge of trying to visit India without valid documents.

The trespassers included 12 women and three children, said subedar Abdul Haque, in-charge of BGB-23. They were going to India in search of jobs. The human traffickers, however, fled the scene sensing the presence of the BGB members.

Later, BGB troops handed over them to Benapole port police station.

I thought BGB's job was to keep things from the other side of the border from entering Bangladesh.They didn't have any sort of weapons, drugs, gold, illegal or counterfeit money but were going there for looking for jobs.

Clearly shows what Hasina has turned Bangladesh into, an Indian satellite state, making the BGB work for India. Even Indians can't disagree.

@BDforever @Luffy 500 @idune Take a look at this.

why should not BGB stop bangladeshis at their own border.. they are also policing the border right? people smuggling (12 women group, not sure where they would have ended up) is a crime and your country is a victim too.

BGB is made to protect our interest, not stop people leaving the country, so that they can find livelihood somewhere else. They would have only stopped them if they were carrying guns or drugs, don't think we have any sort of agreement with India regarding trespassing.

its duty of every country to check whether their citizens who are travelling to another country got the necessary documents or not. Thats why you got border posts.
What about bd airports, dont they check whether you got visa for the target country before you fly? o_O

if India is not doing, then India is doing wrong. I have never heard large scale migration from India to bd, where as we have raise bd to India migration many times with bd officials.(I agree numbers are not stupid crazy but substantial to raise it as an issue)
So you dont want to do your own policing, get shot by bsf and then cry foul.
Thinking that is not our issue, let neighbour deal with it is selfish and irresponsible as a country.

It's duty of the country to stamp passports of the person leaving the country. If not it's illegal under international law.

Well, as if Indians don't enter Bangladesh illegally, difference is the Bangladeshi who go to India illegally generally go there for better wages but the Indians who illegally enter Bangladesh come purely for political reasons.

What are you talking? BGB saved the lives of their countrymen by stopping them from illegally crossing over to India. Who knows the women would have ended up in indian brothels.
