Women with decent incomes do not have to "settle" for a guy who doesn't meet most of their qualifications (as opposed to maybe the traditional situation of having a man be their breadwinner). They may feel that the success they have in a career should translate equally in their choice of a husband.

However this could be difficult if they live in a culture of still being looked at as "second class" by many men. This causes a dilemma when searching for a husband. A fatal flaw in their otherwise upward success.

So they may look longer and harder (or even further) for a solution.
