A Palestinian 15 year old minor was shot dead earlier today by Israeli forces in West Bank.

Youth injured in Beita attack says friend killed in 'cold blood' | Maan News Agency

NABLUS (Ma'an) -- A single bullet to the heart fired by an Israeli soldier was enough to kill 17-year-old Imam Jamil Ahmad Dweikat, a youth from the town of Beita south of Nablus slain today while walking with a friend in his home village.

Nael Talat Thiab, 17, who was also shot by Israeli soldiers but escaped with only a bullet to the foot, told Ma'an from his hospital bed at Rafidia Public Hospital in the northern West Bank city of Nablus that he and Dweikat had just left school when his friend's life was cut short in "cold blood" by the Israeli bullet.

"We had just finished our school exam in Islamic education at the school in Beita, where I study with Imam in the first year of secondary school. We went out to buy something things after school and were on our way home when we decided to go to a park in the southern part of Beita," he told Ma'an.

"We arrived to the edge of the park on foot, but we were surprised to see an Israeli soldier coming toward us from atop a hill. He shot at us four times, but he missed us."

"But then he fired again -- one single shot -- and hit Imam directly in the heart," Thiab told Ma'an.

"Imam fell to the ground. I tried to get near him but then he told me: 'Get away! I've been shot.'"

"I ran a number of meters, trying to flee from the area, but the same soldier shot another bullet at me, injuring me in the foot," he said.

"I was still able to keep running away and I made it to the hospital after flagging down an ambulance stopped by the side of the road, telling the driver that I had not been throwing rocks or even doing anything (when I was shot)."

Thiab's account of the incident contradicts the Israeli military's explanation, which said that the pair were shot while throwing rocks at a nearby road.

When asked to specify which road, the spokeswoman who spoke to Ma'an did not respond.

This bloodshed and violence must stop from both sides.

. .
There is violence coming from one side. And all occurring within occupied territory. International community must support vote on Palestinian UN resolution to end occupation by 2017.

The endless cycle of violence and bloodshed is being perpetrated by both sides, and it cannot be resolved without both sides working to stop it.

It's not graphic, so ok under the rules I think @Horus ?

It is however very sad.

I dont get it why are they killing kids? And secondly why UN and european union are quite in this case? when we were executing terrorists in our country, UN and european union both raised their concerns that its human rights violation, but they hardly speak against israel brutality. This shows how strong these zeonist have grip over US, UN and europe.

There is a giant disproportion when it comes to the bloodshed spilt and it is not in favor of the Palestinians. I can tell you that.

The premise of the conflict is also not the fault of the Palestinians. If anything Israel should withdrew 100% from the West Bank and also end the blockade of Gaza. Then you won't have any rockets targeting Israel. With all due respect then we are in reality talking about advanced firecrackers almost. How many Israelis have those rockets killed in the past 10 years? 25? 30? More people die due to firework related accidents New Year's Eve in Europe.

Let's not make silly comparisons here. 1000 civilians in Gaza died a few months ago. The international community did absolutely nothing.

The oppressors here are the Israelis and the victims are mostly Palestinians. There can be no doubt about this anymore.

Yet Israel is the strongest side here and the one that is supposedly more "civilized" yet doing nothing to solve the conflict. Rather the opposite Israel deliberately increases the flames of the fire as it is to their benefit.

People can cry about Hamas all day long but what about the West Bank? The majority of Palestine? What is the excuse there?

Their culture is abundant of anti-Palestinian dehumanization.

Sir, both sides have a duty to their own people to fight a war as best as each side can as there is no requirement for proportionality in conflicts.

Nobody said anything else but you are looking at this like some fight between two heavyweight champions on equal terms while in reality it is a fight between a all-time heavyweight champion and a drunk defenseless teenager Friday night.

The ball is in Israel's court. If they cannot deal with Gaza there is the West Bank.

That is a too simplistic an analogy that does not apply.

When speaking about proportions then it does but my example is even too mild for the Israeli side.

Fact of the matter is that Israel keeps building more illegal settlements in the West Bank deliberately which is a clear sign of them not wanting a two-state solution. Something they babble about in public to fool the world. Israel is a rogue apartheid state. Both Palestinians and Israelis deserve better.
