3 mln martyrs claim baseless: Oli

300 or 3000000! War is over 40 years ago. Pakistan should be taken as brother now... But now a days it has become a fashion of our youths to bad mouth pakistan as if it increases our patriotism. Pathetic people...... And yes if someone trys to find truth he doesn't become Razakar. This Oli Ahmed, was one of the freedom fighters who resisted Pakistan ARMY in chittagong during operation search light when Awami leaders were running for safety! how dare you calling him RAZAKAR!

.
Sometimes its pathetic to see our own people try to be more Pakistani than the Pakistanis themselves:hitwall:...there was genocide and it started by Pakistani military first then Bengalis retaliate and in the process non-Bengalis died...You can't ignore all the wrong doings done by the then Pakistani military top brass...Even Pakistanis won't like these kind of nonsense buttering

What ever I have stated is true isn't it Bro? When did I say that PAK didn't attack first? the military attacked first and the main blunder was operation search light in 26th march. But all that has happened was wrong and 3 million death figure is crap propagated by BAL for cheap politics. Yes attrocities was done but it was done by both sides and there is no harm accepting it.

The best way for a razakar to become freedom fighter is to do Awami politics. He will become a veteran freedom fighter
overnight.

The fog of war produces crap statistics.

Here is the link from April 19, 1971 Times Magazine which says 200,000 have already died in of Operation Searchlight. This is not Indian or Russian source but source from Times Magazine, data of 30-60 thousands sounds unreliable when 200,000 were killed by April 1971.

PAKISTAN: The Battle of Kushtia - TIME

Fierce fighting raged last week in East Pakistan as Bengali townspeople and peasants resisted the "occupation army" of 80,000 West Pakistani soldiers. Reports have indicated that as many as 200,000 civilians have been killed by the heavily armed West Pakistani troopers. But soldiers have also suffered severe casualties at the hands of irate peasants. The army controlled the capital of Dacca, the vital ports of Chittagong and Khulna, and several other towns.

The best way, is not to bad mouthing about our freedom fights and freedom fighters.

Yes the 3 million number is crap may be its 3 lakh and later may be a 0 added by the BAL scums,,,You have to accept the fact Bengalis were pushed to do atrocities. But i believe the ordinary Pakistani people were against the military action against Bengalis at the first place.

how crap you Luffy - If india didnt intervene where east bengal would have been now , crying and running for help , when someone helped you should be thank full -- it was not a problem of india that east & west pakistani politicians fought for their chairs - conspiracy theories can circulate -- think now east bengal -bangladesh is moving in the right direction to become a prosperous country and see what is happening with pakistan & afganistan ---

Yes yes India intervened but it was for her own strategic interest not out of love for bengalis and
we have been returning the favor for the last 40 years with no return so why the hell we should be
grateful to you.:what: In every forum I go you indians keep on repeating the same $hit "be thankful
to us" as if you guys are pre-programmed to repeat the bull ****. :hitwall:

I am a proud bengali Bangladeshi:D but that doesn't mean that I have to discriminate the bhihari
population of the country just because they were against BD independence. You post is that of
a typical awamileagur. Being ignorant is the worst curse on someone.

We exactly dont know, but 1974, census revealed a reduction of 3 million head counts. I am not saying 3 million died, but probably some did not come back from India and some left for Pakistan but we have to again take in cosideration of high birth rate of that time which did not compensate those reduced numbers either.. There were western media which reported large scale extermination and killing.

Its not only the death figure but large displacement of people, autrocities on women, abuse and beating of civilians etc. Not only that there were hardly any arrest during that time. Anybody who were caught sent to the firing squad. We never heard any court proceedings or police intervention.

As long as anybody Bangladeshi, he has every right as a citizen. But once he shown allegiance to this country, he cant bad mouth about my county. If he wants to do that, then he needs to go back to refugee camp and keep on hoisting PK flags.

the brotherly love only is shown by a very minority in the country. I would never consider Pakistan as our brotherly nation. I don't know anybody who does in Bangladesh. I certainly dont see someone openly express their opinion of only 30,000 killed excelt political celebrities craving for attention like this bloke oli ahmed. He was certainly heckled by the crowd for claiming such bollox, if it was a regular joe he would of gotten his *** kicked. I certainly would love to meet a dude claiming such bollocks in person. I'll make sure he gets a nice *** kicking.

At present Bangladesh has like 85,000 villages, taking towns and cities into account we can round this figure up to 100,000. Assuming 3million dead, on an average 30 persons died in every village.

Now spare one day for your country's sake, go out in your village, ask every family how many members they lost (never be biased with stories like we saw thousands of people being shot dead in single lines etc, just ask how many of them are from their own family/home), write the number up in a notebook and at the end of the day add the figures- it is as simple as that. Now compare the final figure with those of your friends from different part of the country and find out the average: that should give you an idea.

bro, my father who was 12 at that time was lined up with my uncle and grandfather to be shot. One of the officers recognized my grandpa as he used to work for the government so he let them go. The rest were shot.

Did not work that way. There were villages where not a single person was killed but there were villages where 70-80% people got killed. The Hindu neighbouhood were totally exterminated.

Everyone has a story to tell. Zabaniya was telling about his father almost getting killed and other guy was telling 7 women in his village was raped by Pakistan army and there are 64,000 villages in Bangladesh.

Brother, I was just prescribing a method to get an approximate idea of the number of people killed. I'm not necessarily denying people were shot at in lines. Just to avoid error by overlapping I asked not to take into account of witness of other instances of killings except from those of interviewee's own family.
