wrong assumption.you're seeing so many terrorist groups at there,as there is a large game at play.Siliguri corridor is strategic,so is Assam,to control rest of N-E.you cut that off, voila.so,its not the "LOVE",cause N-E states are more developed than some states like Bihar and Jharkhand.
So much developed that they 're migrating to metropolitan cities for education....dude just read these points:-
-Poor political representation of region in Indian parliament due to smaller size. Populous states like U.P, MP, Rajasthan and other BIMARU states get undue political mileage due to their size and population.
-Poor leadership visibility. Both South and North India had produced many mass leaders who played vital role in integration and independence of India. Eastern region lack leadership visibility & many of these state suffer with governance deficit. Most eastern leaders prefer fighting for local issues and were not able to build bigger platform for themselves as well as for the region as a whole.
-Poor social integration with rest of India due to cultural & social difference. East Indians find hard to assimilate with society because of various reasons and prefer to live in ghettos wherever they migrate. Our education system, Bollywood, and Media did a poor job in educating us about east Indian culture and traditions.
-Poor coverage of region by National Media (mostly own by politicians and business houses in north and south India). Since most of Indian politics & business interests are centered around bigger states like Rajasthan, UP, Bihar, Maharastra and Delhi eastern state are not able to gain any meaningful media attention. If there is any coverage, it is mostly for wrong reasons.
-Poor economic development and integration with rest of India. After political leadership it is business class that drive a region. Business class play vital role in attracting talent & capital to any region. They influence policy making, keep a check on govt. (through media) and keep political & administrative machinery well oiled. Unfortunately regions have not produced ambitious, visionary & industrious entrepreneurs like Tatas, Birlas, Ambanis of north west or Reddys of south who can generate jobs for youths and create wealth for the region.
