It is not that. Intel agencies work to warn eachother but only in a specific scenario when the terror attack is not sourced from either one of two or when there is a chance of either two of them getting blamed.

But it's surprising these guys are still around in spite of Zarb e Azab! They've likely shifted everything to bases in Afghanistan. Nabbing them is going to be difficult unless joint ops are conducted by the PA and ANA. Wasn't joint ops discussed when Raheel met his counterpart in Kabul? What's the problem?

PA does not want Afghan Taliban to take the place of TTP. Hence PA is trying their best to remain in their territory only.

Tirah valley is the last militant base, and it should be cleared soon. Most of the militants have escaped to Afghanistan, which PA warned everyone about. PA asked the Afghans and the Americans to launch their own operations to catch these dirt bags, but Afghan domestic pressure has pretty much stalled any effort.

The NDI and Afghan opposition are against targeting the TTP, as they seem to have this idea that they can use the TTP as a counter weight to the Pakistani alleged support of the Afghan taliban. Of course, this is a foolish idea, as the TTP and Afghan taliban are allies, but Afghanistan has never been a place of logic and reason.

Basically, the Afghan operation that Ghani launched against the TTP has stalled, and is unlikely to see it's completion. Though, with recent progress on the talks front (being supported mainly by Pakistan), that may change.

Don’t tell that to the conspiracy brigade, for them, Afghan-Taliban are good terrorists and are Pakistan’s friends, and they have nothing to do with TTP, the bad terrorists.
