Then they have to be members of some cult....which believe in some superstitions....

Zombies dont eat human flesh (may be such things have been in movies)...............Actually there were some medicinemen in Haiti who could make people unconscious for long time with certain medicine. They were mistaken as dead and buried. Later the medicine men recover the bodies from grave bring back their consciousness. Lack of oxygen inside grave creates severe brain hamarage which causes memory lost as well as loss of senses like pain, happyness, grief etc. Then these helpless victims were sold to plantation as slaves.......... deadmen do good works........

there are satanist cults who perform such rituals for black magic...followers of the dark arts have to prove their worth by doing the most repulsive act possible...either that or a psychopath who should be locked away in a mental asylum.
years ago there was a man arrested who used to have sex with freshly buried female corpses...During investigation he admitted being member of a certain cult and seeker of the dark knowledges.
