25 terrorists were killed and 23 wounded
The Chief of stuff of the Turkish armed forces annoced that a series of airstrikes was taken place against the PKK camps at Kandil and Zap.
Between 26 and 30 June 2012, three houses belonging to PKK was identified and hit with nearly 100% precision. As a result, 25 terrorists were killed and 23 wounded.
Does this mean succes?
No. These types of operations are not succesful in long-terms. The PKK has no shortage of man power and they can recruit others to replace the lost. As long as the source of all this havok is not destroyed, many more Turkish soldiers will die.
In the 1990's, in one operation, atleast 200 of the PKK terrorist were killed. The body's were lined up and media was called to take reports; this was good propaganda and it was used as a detterent.
During this time operations were taken place with big groups, unlike today, and 'special police' (Polis Özel Harekât) was used. The usage of these police teams were stoped when the AKP came to power, but they are starting to use them again. The policys of Tansu Çiller was very effective and this caused many harm to the PKK; this is why the BDP and PKK hates her. Tansu Çiller, has more 'balls' than Erdogan now. During the Kardak crisis, she was going to invade Greece; unfortunately, President Demirel, stoped her. During her time as PM, nearly all the leaders of illegal organisations were murdered; these 'organisations' supplied the PKK with money, weapons and many more stuff. By the end of the 90's, the PKK collapsed and terrorist activtys nearly came to a standstill.
However as the AKP came into power, the PKK emerged. Now our soldiers are warning the terrorists, by shouting 'surrender'. This causes them to run away or shoot back, which causes causulties.
It is time for a land attack to Kandil; the source of everything. Also the PKK has a meeting every year; with all the leaders meeting up. This can be used as an advantage.
It is you're turn to discuss....
