This is my personal openion

Chinese are regarded very highly by people whom I've encountered. Being a child I remember stories told to me about how hardworking the Chinese were and how they archived so much with so little, in fact had a family friend who ran a good Chinese restaurant and a beauty parlor who used to bring us very beautiful silk fabrics as gifts whenever they visited China.

As far as were we stand today I would blame some of the media and both the governments.
