2014 IS NOT 1962: INDIA MUCH BETTER PREPARED FOR CHINESE CHALLENGE – ANALYSIS Published December 8, 2014 | By admin SOURCE: EURASIA REVIEW Indian troops forming a man-tow for artillery over rough mountain terrain during 1962 War China, emerging as one of the most powerful global players in recent years, is pursuing its geostrategic interests with enormous military and economic might.Being in the immediate vicinity, India has to bear the brunt of its muscle-flexing over incursions and territorial claims, which occurs with a vexing regularity, besides erection of temporary structures on our soil. China watchers, strategic experts and peaceniks have usually been counselling India to keep a low profile for fear of antagonizing the mighty neighbour. The common refrain is that India is no match militarily and would be worsted in any conflict, often against the backdrop of the humiliating defeat in 1962, almost 52 years to the day. But could one ignore ground realities in assessing potential threats and eventualities.

India is no match to china yet.. you will be naive to even think about it...

And pakistan is a match to india??:P
by not letting india attack on Pakistan after mumbai drama.. mean Yes Pakistan much better than india!
you have to creat huge game before you make drama like mumbai again to get even a reason to attack on Pak.
or your media will be screaming like a war mongering baby.
and talking about china .. dont even think about it

Tells something about ur common sense.

So is this the Indian mentality? When it doesn't feel prepared, it keeps on the down low and acts like a obedient pet. But when it feels "prepared", then it will be time to provoke, agitate, pick a fight, and destabilize the region to satisfy its ego.

Regardless of how much more cocky India has become, we will always be prepared to defend ourselves and safeguard stability in the South Asian region.

It's actually not that prepared at all. Chinese border is still not given enough importance.

Guys read the article and then start Ba*king... Its say's India is better prepared for any misadventure by chinese then of 1962. When we didn't had proper Rifle for our Jawans, forget about winter clothing and mountain gears and equipment.

Our brave soldier fought till the last bullet, it was a biggest logistic mess in history of Indian army. This gave the chinese troops an opportunity to penetrate deep inside Indian territory of Arunachal Pradesh.

But now we have Mountain strike force, Rapid deployment strategy, Forward Operating Base, Better connectivity etc.

Indians seem to have forgotten their “Forward Policy” in 1962.

If that's not prepared and premeditated, what is?

It was a deliberate act of aggression on India's part。

India is far worse prepared today than 52 years ago。

Well don't worry,,there is no possibility of war now.
