true, its one of my favourite song

when I was a child i used to sing that song very occasionally but never actually understood its meaning when the singer says "kainda aye pulekha mainu soni sassi heer da"

Only recently (2-3 years ago) I was listening this song once again and realized that the singer was actually talking about "Sohni of Sohni Mahewal, Sassi of sassi pannu and Heer of Heer Ranja"

True that movie was good of that era

indeed........ actually if you listen that song in Audio... its really good. The sound, singer, quality, music everything seems good but they raped the song after making this crazy video

lol so have you watched this movie?

I watched this movie in Cinema as it was released on Eid Day along with Janesheen (Indian movie). I went to watch Janesheen but they said it will be released tomorrow so rather I watched movie instead

It was nice as far as the comedy is concerned but then they start their usual crap "An Indian girl marries a Pakistani" etc. I watched until interval and my cousins decided to leave after that

What was the ending part of this movie? i only watched half movie

There is a reason behind his dance

I think he was reflecting to the true story of Baba Bullay Shah when his teacher If i am not wrong got annoyed with him and he was thinking a way to please him once again. He failed in all attempts and one day he started dancing in front of him and after his teacher learned that he is same Bullay Shah he forgave him and got appeased

may be Bedari was made in response of Jagriti... we have no idea about the topic of both movies

Jagriti was released in 1954 and Bedari in 1957 so probably there would be something in Jagriti that Pakistanis may have objected and rather responded by making another movie in response

Not sure... just wild guess - only checked the release year from wikipedia

It was a complete carbon copy of the Indian film “Jagrati”, even a patriotic song was copied with word “Pakistan” inserted in place of “Hindustan”!. The film was released on Dec 6[1][2], 1957 on Pakistani cinemas and proved to be one of the greatest hit of 1957. It was one of the most patriotic Pakistani films and its songs are still remembered today.
