Please do not mutilate history. Quaid-e-Azam's original demand were two separate Muslim states, i.e. the West and East Pakistan, which made the most sense in every manner. This was categorically rejected and deemed impossible by the British after which a single Muslim state was fought for.

You can find this in any good history book on South Asia.
