You are ignoring the chain of events. The matter of Bangladesh's status was the primary focus for a long time within Pakistan, then martial law, then Soviet War, culminating to sanctions, nuclear arms race and now the war on terror. By the time this matter slowly gained prominence there is hardly any one left to prosecute and today litigation is quite open in Pakistan anyone can come and try cases. In fact its a good time since some cases dating as far back as the 90s where even the COAS of the time has been charged.

If you have a case who is stopping you, come and try them.

How silly and inconsiderate of the rape victims. Pakistanis were busy with other noble endeavors(building a nuclear bomb, raising a generation of Taliban, so Afghan women can live their lives peacefully in Islamic way) and could not pay attention to stupid causes like standing trial for Human rights violations perpetrated by the most pious Army of the Ummah.

Remember, Even though Pakistan won the 1971 war, due the large heartedness of Pakistan, which is our nature, we gave independence to East Pakistan, recognized their country, after labeling them traitors of Ummah and they still have the audacity call on moral failings of our Army? how dare they are. Even we Pakistanis don't question our Mujaheddin army!

Especially for the Indians, since you attach so much importance to Personal testemants, interviews of persons. Here is the other side of stories. Lets see how you accept this bitter reality. 100's of personal accounts of Biharis who suffered Mukti Bahini Atrocities. Read this entire document and than debate with us

Indians. Indians and Indians. They only believe the accounts where Pakistanis are shown as Villians. Here is another side of story for them. Read this book so that your bias minds can comprehend How Bangladeshis were involved in the attrocities and rapings of West Pakistanis and Biharis

Oxford University researcher Sarmila Bose s 2011 book, "Dead Reckoning: Memories of the 1971 Bangladesh War",

It's the matter between Pakistan and Bangladesh, why are you trying so hard in first place?

May be India intervened Militarily and ended the war of Independence!? Simla accord and Prisoner of wars exchange etc.,!

What you said is this in a more sugar-coated manner:

"We apologised. Now F-off and live with it."

Asim, you're a grown-up adult.

You and I both know that apologies mean squat in this world. lol

Why not then let Shakil Afridi also apologise and let him enjoy his life?

I'll tell you why:

Because if you believe that he has committed a crime, you'll not be content with his apology alone. You'd want to punish the man.

You're standing on a very sticky wicket here and I hope you realise it.

You can't really convince people with a gaping logical fallacy as big as this when you fail to punish those who commit a crime upon others but you're standing first in the line to punish those whom you perceive to have committed a crime upon you.

Now I'm not calling you a hypocrite but frankly, that kinda behavior is not going to sound any better than hypocrisy either.

Have we just apologized? Today Bangladesh and Pakistan share very close ties, we are allies on economic and military goals. Does this reflect a nations attitude where we have done such horrible crimes against them?

The trial of war criminals will always be open from Pakistan's side. But you cannot say that "Oh they are all dead now, so sorry no choice we have to keep Pakistan alive a boogeyman for Bangladeshis".

Today have an India vs Pakistan match, 90% Bangladeshis would support Pakistan. Barring the policies of Shk Hasina, Bangladesh has always been closer to Pakistan than India.

Why so? Even they have a hard time buying the stink being sold so passionately for obvious political agendas by Indians.

Why are Indians always more passionate about these so called war crimes than are Bangladeshis? I'll tell you why, they know present day Pakistanis have had nothing to do with them, old-gen are dead and many of the stories are made up.

Are you seriously telling me you don't find some degree of satisfaction playing up this wild-card just for the sake of playing it up now that you know no war-trials can be done, nobody can be pulled from the dead and that apology has also happened, can you say with a straight face that Indians don't have any nefarious ulterior motives of being more holier than the pope on this issue?

We were talking about hypocrisy, yeah?

How dare the bengalis retaliate our Army and People helping them in raping their women? And remember, PA wasn't the trained official Military and Mukhti bahini wasn't the crude militia and please don't question us on our moral equivalence argument.

Indians hypocrisy is gonna reveal now gentlemen. They are only condemning Pak Army while ignoring Mukti bahini killings. I have given to very solid references. One of Oxford researcher and one of Personal accounts of 100's of People who suffered. I strongly suggest Admin and MOD. who ever continue his hypocrisy please delete his post or Ban him.

Stop crying

Reality is, rape may have occurred in such high numbers but it was ultimately done by all the three sides (including Bangladeshis and Indians). Many of the pictures of the Pak Army's attrocities have been proven as fakes and were in fact Indian soldiers carrying out brutalities on Bangladeshis.

So keep the frailty of provable evidence into account when narrating such **** n bull stories.

Did not expect this from you. This was one of the worst crime of the century even much more worse than the killings of intellectuals or Hindus. This is the greatest crime against humanity. It should have been punished.

Rape during the Bangladesh Liberation War - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The perpetrators conducted nighttime raids, assaulting women in their villages,[22] often in front of their families, to "punish" and terrorize. Girls and women were also kidnapped and held in special camps were they were repeatedly raped and gang-raped. Many of those held in the camps were murdered or committed suicide.[23] Time magazine reported on girls who had been kidnapped and held in military brothels:

"One of the more horrible revelations concerns 563 young Bengali women, some only 18, who have been held captive inside Dacca's dingy military cantonment since the first days of the fighting. Seized from Dacca University and private homes and forced into military brothels, the girls are all three to five months pregnant. The army is reported to have enlisted Bengali gynecologists to abort girls held at military installations. But for those at the Dacca cantonment it is too late for abortion. The military has begun freeing the girls a few at a time, still carrying the babies of Pakistani soldiers[24]"
:angry::angry::angry::angry:

The final week of the war saw the worst of the atrocities. With defeat certain, the Government conducted a premeditated campaign of genocide. Entire villages were razed to the ground and the inhabitants killed. Over a two-day period intellectuals and professionals were taken from their homes and murdered. Their names were found in the diary of Major-General Rao Farman Ali.[20]

Liz Trotta reported in 1972 from a village suffering from the aftermath of the conflict. She interviewed a 16-year-old widow whose husband had been murdered in front of her before she was raped, making her pregnant.[25] The Pakistani government had tried to censor reports coming out of the region, but media reports on the atrocities did reach the public, and gave rise to widespread support for the liberation movement.[26]

Shutup. We are only questioning your hypocritical moral arguments, where you are shamefully ignoring other side of story. I have shared the solid references. Condemn them or You will be condemned

Since you are willfully ignoring here is something for your ignorant mind.

The East Pakistan of 1971 was what we call an "Information Blackhole", there was no information coming out of the region, due to which tabloids chose to fill their columns with hearsay and exaggerated stories. I'm not saying that rape was non-existent, it probably did take place. I say that it was a multi-faceted effort from the Razakars, Muktis, PA and IA. However, the victor writes the history, so the responsibility for every wrong doing fell on Pakistan. Whereas a logical mind will implore you to think that the truth lies somewhere in between the Excesses of the PA and the Angelic/Heroics of the Muktis/IA.

Another point is that misinformation was key in orchestrating the break up of E-Pakistan. I remember BBC Radio blurting out how bodies lay rotting around the expanse of E-Pak after the floods of 1970 and the Army was no where to be seen, in reality however, the bodies were no where to be found.

If there are 100 accounts of biharis faced bengali atrocities, there are more than 1+ million accounts of bengalis facing bihari atrocities

Captain Jacksparrow ignorance knows no bound, He brought Dr.Shakil Afridi In a 1971 warfare argument. When he as shown SHARMILA BOSE research and Personal accounts of Mukti Bahini Victims. He suggested me stop crying and Raj Chuchu wala suggested e same.

Is this what Indians are good at? When shown the door they start showing childish mentality?
