Jammu, March 27 (Scoop News)- In a Glittering ceremony with an Impressive march past, one hundred eighty three youth from the State of J&K were inducted into the Indian Army today here at Jammu and Kashmir Light Infantry Regimental Centre in Srinagar. With crisp movements and singing their Regimental Song, the young soldiers took the oath to devote their lives to protect their motherland from all odds. A vibrant National Spirit was visible among the trainees who passed out after rigorous training.

These Young Soldiers called themselves singularly privileged to join this illustrious regiment which is the only one in the entire Indian Army to have been raised by the brave & patriotic sons of this glorious state, who rose voluntarily in the face of the marauding Pakistani raiders in 1947-48 and were instrumental in defeating their designs. Since then, the regiment has also stood tall as an epitome of national integration with its Mandir Masjid and Gurudwara Concept, where soldiers from all religions come together and offer prayers under the same roof.

Brig Pankaj Sinha, Commandant JAK LI Regimental Centre reviewed the Passing out Parade and Attestation Ceremony. With his vast experience and foresight, he addressed the young soldiers and guided them as they begin their journey in the Indian Army. He also congratulated the parents of the soldiers of having dedicated their sons towards protecting their motherland and choosing the noble profession of soldiering. To support the youth to carve a niche for themselves, Army is continuing to provide opportunity to youth for employment in armed forces and even organizing pre-recruitment training at numerous places across Valley. Large number of youth have benefitted from these efforts.

The occasion was used to felicitate Naib Subedar Nadeem Iqbal, who has made the country, Indian Army & JAK LI proud by being the only Olympian from J&K. Nadeem Iqbal represented India in the Winter Olympics 2014 held at Sochi in Russia. Apart from him, the Regiment has also produced other sportsmen of International acclaim like Naib Subedar Chain Singh who won Bronze medal at the Asian Games 2014 in Korea & Hav Rafiq Ahmed Malik, who is the first Everester from the State. These soldiers continue to serve as an inspiration to more and more talented youth to join the armed forces and contribute in bringing glory to the Nation, State and the Indian Army.

Parents feel proud for their sons joining Armed Forces. Large number of youth expressed that their parents have been very supportive of their desires to join Army. In the end, the proud parents pipped the young soldiers, thereby, dedicating them in the service of the nation.

There army many soldiers from Jammu & Kashmir region currently serving in Indian army. I had the pleasure of meeting & communicating with a few of them during a veteran soldiers meet hosted our university premises. Most of them were from Punch district. Those were really nice lads.

2 weeks back 180 soldiers were recruited then 53 more 10 days back and now 183 more. In less than a month, 180+53+183 soldiers have been recruited. Indian army recruit soldiers in small batches.

Other than recruiting into government jobs what Kashmir really needs is to be economically integrated with the res of India- build 6 lane highways, high speed rail lines and allow direct investment by Indian companies and the "azad" moment will be dead in the span of 10 years, if that. Same goes for the NE and the "red" states.

If youth see future in their present state then why they go for anything else but because of poor planning of all political parties they are messing up things and young people are frustrated and many outside forces are going to take advantage and find free foot soldier for their evil plan.
Indian people should be educated about their own people from NE they are not nepali or chinese they are indian stop calling them names.
