By the way what is wrong with Daily Ummat? What is it?

old news....

but still good news. They were upgraded for nighttime operation (CNITE) and have thermal/infrared imaging, new fire-control system with a laser rangefinder; an improved cockpit layout with a HUD for the pilot; an AN/ALQ-144 IRCM and for firing a2g tows

and they have proven quite instrumental for precision attacks on enemy arms cache and hideouts.....

but enemy in many cases adopted techniques and bury the arms very deep in the ground....so there are limitation

The cobras acquired in 1986-87 were F models, with all of the above improvements except, C-NITE (Cobra Night Imaging Thermal Equipemnt), which was done in 2000-2001 by AWC. The cobras transferred in 2007 are smae F modles, which were used by US Army and then National Guards. They were refurbished. In all initially Pakistan acquired 20 cobras in 80s and then 20 more old but refurbished cobras were transferred to Pakistan in 2006-7. out of these 12 are received and remaining 8 are still in USA, undergoing refurbishment.
