14 FC Troops Killed in Terrorist Attack

KARACHI: A bomb attack on Frontier Corps (FC) vehicles late on Wednesday killed 14 frontier officials in Turbat, DawnNews reported.

The attack in Balida arear of Turbat killed 14 and several officials got injured. Injured were taken to a nearby hospital immediately after the incident.

Two FC vehicles were completely destroyed in the attack.

Security officials and attackers shot fire at each other after the blast.

Baloch Liberation Front (BLF) has accepeted the responsibility of the attack.

Are they really under resources ? means these is kind of demoralizing situation for both FC and people who they are protecting ..
Is there separate budget for them or they get share from defense budget ..

I won't put all the blame on FC soldiers. It is the military leadership in Quetta, Peshawar or Rawalpindi who is supposed to deal with these matters. Unfortunately they seem to be more interested in other issues like Memo gate.

The thing is why send such under equipped force (if that is the right word) and possibly also under trained out there in the wild only to be hunted by some yaboos.

I haven't heard a single incident where FC had the upper hand when they came under fire by Militants...
Dont you maintain distance between Vehicles while travelling in Hostile territory and flank out and go for higher grounds immediately when come under fire?
But in the case of FC it always seems they do the exact opposite.

Yeah such type of tactics should be implemented by the FC but looks like they either don't want to learn for their mistakes or they think that they haven't lost enough soldiers till now to renew their tactics.

"Details have it that the BLA militants, after finishing the job, escaped with FC men’s arms and ammunition."

So apparently FC's presence is not only an unnecessary loss of life,but counter productive as Militants ambush them and get away with their Weapons..Only to be used again on FC..

Sure its a gorilla warfare and Pakistan politicians are party to it.
Imagine if FC capture or shoot at armed terrorists in Baluchistan than it will become a political scandal.
Mind it BLA is not a terrorist organisation, they are granted asylum in any state they wish.
Infact, according to kerry lugar bill it is Pakistani nation which is terrorists, which is accepted by Ghadari govt.

Such pathetic comments from you .... FC is doing the best it can... what can those guys do if their vehicle is blasted by an IED ? heck even NATO cant do anything to protect itself frm these bloody ieds....

As for FC humiliating itself.. ive seen an FC soldier smiling with his jaw torn up by a 7.62mm! ive seen 9 FC soldiers fighting 60 taliban high on drugs.. and killing 20 while losing 1 man who was hit by an RPG... The fight continued for 4-5 hours!

Ive seen FC guys arrestin 9 would be suicide bombers with suicide jackets... The only things they lack are helis and heavy equipment.. though they are being provided with MBTs but they seriously lack sohisticated equipment... the NVGs are few 1 for 16 men company... helis.. etc... they r armed with AKs,Draganovs,G3s,RPG-7s,MG-3s,DsHks and mortars...

You guys suck!
