I am talking about evolution not about today! So you claim the common ancestor lived away from other apes in an environment that made it grow a brain as compared to its other siblings?

I made a comparison about today to explain about evolution. I claimed that the common ancestor lived in a single environment, this environment began to change and the common ancestor separated into groups, one group moved to an environment similar to the common ancestor and didn't need to adapt and still survived. The other group had to adapt to a changing environment and a larger brain gave that group an adaptive advantage allowing it to survive.

Having a larger brain isn't the only way a species can adapt to survive.

I understood some of it; more than anything else I weighed the arguments...I don't have to be a biologist to know basic biology and ascertain whether one line of reasoning is adding up or not !

Bang on. Don't bother trying to put some sense into people here. People are so brainwashed/indoctrinated that they are not even ready to consider the reality based on anything outside their religious book. Even some professionals in biology here deny evolution.. "god" knows quality of work they do....

You do need some basics. Had you known basics of evolution, you wouldn't have bothered to bring up adam and eve. there was no "first" human, male or female. "first" human population never reached below several thousands. It is like asking when exactly did a plant become tree.

Humans are not able to control there evolution but we are able to alter an environment in our favor to a certain degree, this however can cause us to evolve into ways that are favorable, unfavorable or neutral but are unaware of it until it visibly or mentally affects us.

I apparently have no knowledge of paleontology, so I'm in the same boat.

I only have some knowledge based on my conservation biology courses bt nothing in details...

But when you are thought evolution biology (at least in my era) you were thought a bit of paleontology and a little bit of research into the subject matter and some evolutionary bio colleagues helps!

I know all my arguments were for the laymen that visit this forum

Can I ask all of you people (not just you alone) when you swallowed evolutionary theory without questioning it...why does it irk you when someone DOES question it and demands the very things it started bragging about? yea it is evolving now but that is science not the original theory....science causes theories to evolve coz of new discoveries! THAT IS SCIENCE!

If tomorrow the missing link is found the theory will go back to its past stage without anyone chest beating....why coz its a theory 2ndly coz science is dynamic!

So why do you guys who swallow a theory whole want everyone to be at your level and never question it? Science is all about questioning and challenging...

My only answer can be you guys are not scientist or are just studying for the sake of a good job not for the sake of the kicks it gives in discovering and challenging!

Since that is established please dont force your ideas on me I have never made you think otherwise of the theory you soo dearly hold to your hearts and cant accept challenges thrown to it esp questions you cant answer heck even real scientists cant!

If you cant apprreciate science I suggest you stop discussing it
