Bro so you are saying all the Turkish civilians massacred was fake, bro they are documented Greek Cypriot war crimes. I am disappointed in you, sound like those holocaust deniers conspiracy theorists.

Hundreds of Turkish civilians were massacred before the invasion.

It has been exactly 58 years since the "Bloody Christmas" massacre carried out by the terrorist organization EOKA militants and Greek gangs in Cyprus on 21 December 1963.

In the "Bloody Christmas" massacre launched against the Turkish Cypriots, 364 people were martyred and 103 Turkish villages were burned and evacuated.

Today is the anniversary of this bloody Christmas. I can open a new thread every day about these. But there will be no point in suffocating the forum with this unpleasant past. If our friends can recite a heartfelt Fatiha because of our lost generations, that is enough for us.

Alright. Understood. Should I start posting on 19 May,about the commemoration of the Pontic Greek Genocide? Or the Chios Massacre? Or the Smyrne catastrophe? Where will it get us?

Turkey is not the same as it was before. If they want to restore their former glory of the ottoman empire then they must not just look at military strength. There is more than meets the eye when it comes to it...

You are right, and besides, modern turkey does not have an ideal of reviving the ottoman. I don't know what comes to your mind, but for the average Turk, the last 2 centuries of the Ottoman Empire can only be expressed with betrayal and great tragedies. Therefore, this claim is mainly a tool of intimidation used by states like Greece to demonize Turkey.

I know Turkish people have pride for the Ottoman Empire but none of them have a desire for its return.

All Turks want a strong country, respected outside and inside to have a prosperous and content and safe country.

Oh but Erdogan talking about "The borders of our heart" and "Blue Homeland",as well as constantly reminding his followers of the Ottoman legacy in the Balkans,Levant and North Africa is a scheme by "evil Greece"?

The tearful videos of Erdogan reciting poems about Kudus and saying "we built this city"(Jerusalem)? His constant blabbering of "these places are ours",talking about the Balkans, the Eastern Aegean islands,Crete,Syria,Palestine, northern Iraq, even Libya?

Come on...you know it's not just him who keeps this rhetoric...it's also Akar,Cavusoglu. Such rhetoric combined with a crazy arms race, doesn't make your neighbors feel exactly reasurred of your intentions.

Imagine if Modi started talking about Sindh,Pakistani Punjab and Azad Kashmir, saying "These places were once ours! They are our legacy. There used to be Hindus there!" while constantly equipping his army...would you blame Pakistanis of propaganda against India?

There's books about Turkish massacres and atrocities too. Maybe you want me to link about the Greek genocide? The Armenian?

I'll tell you again,it will get us nowhere.

there is not even one evidence about Turks killed greeks or armanians but there are thousand of evidences you killed Turks so what you have you can show the people.

Turkey have called armenian historians several times to searching about genocides but they never join to investigate. because when any evidence emerges, evdences shows that armenians killed muslims Kurdish and Turks

You're pretty darn wrong there, trust me.

Suddenly,Turks are trying to get on top and tell the world "Oh we are the real victims, look, they've been persecuting Muslims for 2 centuries everywhere,oh we are the real victims,we didn't do anything!".......

Are you kidding? I don't want to start mass posting links, sources and defininetely not photos (because that's forbidden here). If I start doing that and everyone starts doing that,it will turn into a very grim place, like @Huffal said yesterday. And in the end,you won't believe me,I won't believe you and the rest won't care.

there is one evidence about this matter, Ottoman population was 18 millions after ww1 it rest 13 millions so 5 million people was not only soldiers most of them was civilians.

Christians have no tolarance against Muslims especially against Turks, when you have chance to kill, you killed us, but you still deny this.

Otherside we never massacared ant nations who lived our lands, this is the real evidence greeks, bulgars, magyars and all others still have big population and still they keep their language, religion and all historical monuments.

Although the Turks did not do injustice to anyone, they were wronged.

. .
The Turkish massacres and related excavations, historical documents, etc., carried out by Greece, which received the support of the West in the disintegration process of the Ottoman State. In fact, this was such a great trauma for the Turks that after the Cyprus' 1974 military coup massacres and with the driving force of the EOKA terrorist organization, this was the basic dynamic behind the psychology that led the Turks to decide to intervene. And thank God, with this hard decision, the Turkish trace still exists on the island.

You disappoint me. I did not think that you are anti greek

Are you kidding?

What I mentioned above is about the production of Greek academic historians describing the massacres and genocides committed in today's Greek lands. I was shocked too when I watched it, and I didn't know there was this level of insanity. And EOKA is an ultra-racist and anti-Turkish structure that cannot represent the modern Greek people. If you can't speak clearly what EOKA is, it doesn't mean I'm anti-Greek.
