read my post again, take out the glasses of religion. If the Judiciary and Executive wing of our country starts making decisions like some of the legislatives are doing, this country will be another "religion" republic of India.



India is secular because the minorities too chose to be Indians First. Get that into your head.
I appreciate the constitution because of which you cant do jack to the minorities of this country.

I know far better than you buddy boy, why India was divided. It was divided because "some" Muslims were insecure of what their future would be with them being in minority. It was us who couldn't succeed in providing them "all" the confidence in staying together. Still "majority" of them stayed here rather than going to the new country, which as u said, was carved out for Muslims and then too most of them stayed true to their homeland.

Minorities in India is 100% secular.
Dude I saw the very minorities who like their religion more than anything else.After all some small fraction of secular minorities created Yasin Bhatkal,Riyaz Bhatkal,Tadiyantavide Nasir etc.
I am not generalizing.
But India is secular because the Sanathana Dharma or Hinduism having Hindus,Sikhs,Jain,Buddh etc chose to do so.
Western nation are secular because majority christians choses that.

Read Article # 25 of India's Constitution to find the Answer. I've been disscuing it in another thread to tell people India is a Pesudo Secular Country, not a Secular.

She is right.Otherwise what is the need of the certain special laws and personal laws for certain communities.That folly itself creted a limited version of radicalisation among majorities.

May sound strange, but I've seen some Indian Sikhs moving to Bangladesh, recently there was a big Sikh gathering near the Guruduara in Dhaka University campus.

It is not pseudo secular, The article gives freedom to practice any religion, some exception is given to Sikhs to wield their kirpans.

Read it carefully - it says Sikhs are Hindus. Sorry, we are not.

Why secular country has no same rules for it's citizens, why reservation, Laptops, Pay for Pilgrimage for a special community, not for all? Why Community wich makes 20+% of Indias population is Minority? Why not the one who only make 1 or 2%?. This is Pesudo Secularism, not Secularism.

Secular term is itself is a not a perfect one, It says freedom to practice religions and state do not interfere or discriminate in religious matters.

But the degree of freedom is not defined !!

If state finds some of the practices are a threat to the country, State will impose some restrictions on people.

Hindus is a term coined by British, we are not Hindus precisely but Dharmic people, we practice Sanatana Dharma.

It is Dharma not Religion.

Nah, they are most probably immigrants not tourists. I was surprised to see such large number of Sikhs and thought they might be tourist or something but then my friend told me there are actually many Sikhs living in Bangladesh, there is a Sikh near his house in Baridhara, he works as the manager in a general store (we call it "mudi dokan" in Bangladesh). They are fluent in Bengali but talk in Punjabi among themselves.

I have problem with the classification. We Sikhs don't practice Sanatana Dharma.

Sikhs prefer going to UK, Canada, US and Australia, but Bangladesh. This is something new to me. Punjabi's speaks Punjabi with a Punjabi.
