The joint R & D project officially began in mid-2010 and series-production of this DEW will commence later this year, with the Kalyani Group being the prime industrial contractor from the Indian side.
   

However, during CAS missions, it will be preferable for the Tejas Mk1s to be armed only with Python-5s for self-protection, since such missions—flown by either the Tejas Mk1 or ‘Combat Hawks’—always be escorted by the IAF’s upgraded Mirage 2000Is or upgraded MiG-29UPGs conducting offensive air-superiority sweeps.

Really I thought
1st Squadron have integration of 20 with IOC-2 Configration
2nd Squadron of 20 with FOC Configuration

Well HAL Chief Said first upgraded Tejas with better radar, missiles system, mid-air refueling capability, would be handed over to the force by 2018.

So many news went by, I guess

First 5 will be of ioc 2 standards
Next 15 or more will be Foc standards
If mk1A is ready by then rest all will be in that configuration

Hi,
LCA will qualify for R73, RVV AE/PD, as well as KH31, KH35, along with Derby and Python, and Astra series.It will also see a DRFM-class jammer. The only ordinance system I doubt will be deployed on the LCA is the R27ER/ET Alamo

Since our tejas radome is designed to have bigger size , no problems there.
How much ever TR modules it can hold, it will more than any other competitor
However it's the power I am worried about ... 4-10 kva ? Available ?

I feel that it will be lower to accommodate both space and power ...........may at 950-1000 TR modules
