Secular India. A biggest prison on earth. Now Indian govt changing the name of Sri-Nagar to Shri-Nagar. The first Hindu attack on Kashmiri culture.
No medicine,no electricity, water supply is down, no mobility for sick people. Total business shutdown.

A systematic genocide.

Reporting from which world?
Was there last week, things are pretty normalized in Srinagar and nearby regions.
There is no official curfew in majority of places, people open up there shops for half day to 3/4 of day given that winter season has started, majority of food shops are open till 8pm but given that there is little or no tourist so not much of business was seen on the joints. Public transportation has started in major town and cities and even the Srinagar railway line snow has been cleared and probably the services have started back.

I used postpaid BSNL Mobile services and it is working fine, though internet is down in majority of area. Only few areas in srinagar and nearby region the mobile internet worked. One can use public designated internet kiosks for 20rs per hour. They are bare basic PC with decent internet connectivity.

Tourism is affected, but otherwise the agriculture season has been good.
No lack of medicine, electricity or water supply as such.
Infact there are lot of places where basic medicines for pain, fever, cold and cough are given for free from army camps. Medical facilities are up and running though I would still expect them to improve the infrastructure. New buildings and technicians are required for all the latest machines that have been put there. The new MRI System was not operational because the technician feared to come to srinagar for maintenance service.

There is also a wave that the old politicians have not done enough for them, hence they have lacked behind.
Some are frustrated because of lack of job opportunities and now probably even govt jobs might go to non kashmiris. At the same time some belive what could go bad then what has happened in last 70 yrs so they are willing to give a chance to this too...not sure willingly or due to lack of option, but overall mood is lets see where it takes and hope it works for betterment.

What happened to half hour protest on every Friday?

there are also reports that army act may be amended to give right to kulbhusion for appeal,I think our govt not wants tough stance against india and will do nothing for kashmiris
