1000 KG Glide Bomb Capable of hitting a target 100 KM away was successfully tested.

Could be.

Basant Aerospace Pvt Ltd was showing this off in air India, "SWAK". Range is 80km though.

DRDO-Developed Glide-Bomb Data

The DRDO-developed 100km-range, 1000kg glide-bomb has been jointly developed with Russia’s JointStockCompany ‘Scientific Production Association Bazalt’ (JSC SPA Bazalt) and its local industrial partner Basant Aerospace Pvt Ltd.

While the DRDO developed the on-board MINGS-based inertial & terminal navigation system, the glide-kits and rear-end structural sections have come from JSC SPA Bazalt.

So was this developed with Russian help? The graphic indicates a range of 60 km, so not sure if this is the same kit.
As usual PS-BS,I don't see where is DRDO insignia over bombs. Till date DRDO not yet released any photos as per Vishnu SOM NDTV and by Tarmak 007.

We can reduce anything into dust in 100 KM from our border by releasing a bomb from MKI flying in our sky.

PAF could do that 10 years ago! lol

Today, PAF can turn anything into dust within 350km of our border :azn:

. .
BTW if you were talking about glide bombs, then how did ya think of Apache.

That will do the job of MBDA Apache.Similar objective, not similar weapon.

PAF could do that 10 years ago! lol

Very good but we do not even need IAF to turn everything in Pakistan to dust.

DRDO-Developed Low-Drag Glide-Bomb Data

The 1,000kg low-drag, high-explosive aerial bomb has been developed and is being produced by OFB Khamaria. The bomb, with a designation of Mk12, has a length of 4,000mm and weighs about 930kg.

The DRDO-developed 100km-range, 1,000kg low-drag glide-bomb has been jointly developed with Russia’s JointStockCompany ‘Scientific Production Association Bazalt’ (JSC SPA Bazalt) and its local industrial partner Basant Aerospace Pvt Ltd.

While the DRDO developed the on-board MINGS-based inertial and terminal navigation system, the glide-kits and rear-end structural sections have come from JSC SPA Bazalt. The PGM will be used primarily against static targets like bridges, railway junctions, and logistic hubs for POL and ammunition storage.

The Russia-origin glide-kit will also be used by the IAF’s existing Mk11N high-explosive, 1,000lb low-drag aerial bombs.

I like how Pakistan made its own satellite guided bombs (Gids Takbir). But India still has an advantage with its indigenous LGBs.

. . .
Lahore is 30 to 40 km away from International border not LOC, LOC is far away from Lahore.

OK International border.

How ever i wanted to tell him that like there are some cities of Pakistan near the Indian border, it is true other way round also. We have cities like Amritsar near Pakistan border also. So it is not a big advantage to either of the country.

Not at all, If one only looks at the purchase history.. India went straight for the Israeli system post 1999... including both Spice and Popeye Es to build up its stand off inventory. To offsets its inability to attack PAF's Hardened aircraft shelters it has ordered the new NG-LGB systems

The Israeli Griffin LGB kits were procured during Kargil, as a reaction to the faulty Paveway LGB supply from the US, but none of them can be accounted for a stand off weapon, just as the JDAM isn't one either. These kits are mainly meant to provide guidance to a dumb bomb, not to extend their range like modern wing or propulsion kits do. And the main aim of the LGB kits IAF added were CAS, since they were procured in the 1000lb and later in the 500lb class, while the heavy side was fillied by 2000lb French LGBs (now going to be replaced with SPICE 2000 kits as part of the Mirage 2000 upgrade) that were procured with the Mirage long before Kargil, just as heavier KAB 1500s came with the Su 30s in the late 90s early 2000s.
The stand off capability in IAF today is mainly based on missiles and not bombs with range extention kits, which might change to an extend now. But with Kh 59 available, Brahmos coming or even the Kh 29 (with limited range though) available in the fleet for smaller targets the different aim is obvious.
In PAF the rumored S. African stand off weapons and now latest Chinese versions are the first of this kind, while the F 16s can't carry any of them and is limited to LGB and JDAM kits without range extention. For JF 17 this variety of weapons clearly adds capability and that then automatically increases PAFs capability when more different weapons on a wider range of fighters in the fleet can be used, without limitations.

True, the bomb kit of Basant Aerospace is obviously a different on that this Russian one meant for standard Russian FAB dumb bombs. PSG seems to mix up things again.
