I wouldn't trade our political system for yours - I said that in February. After so many deaths and human tragedies, missteps, divisive politics and other incompetencies - I have not changed my mind.

I actually know how people in China live under the CCP, I have many colleagues and friends there - thanks but no thanks.

Generally, your own insecurities compel you to come here and seek validation. It's all worth it - isn't it? For the greater good of China - is it? I'm sure it is :china:
What made you think China political system to replace US political system? It's US sell their political system worldwide-- liberal hegemony. US bomb countless countries in the name of liberal democracy. It doesn't end well, what do you think?

China has no desire to force other countries to adapt our political system in past decades. It's not in our interest anyway.

US has desire to force other countries to adapt US political system in past decades. It's in US interest sometimes, sometimes not.

It's ok to have different political system in the world, what do you think? But US liberal fundamentalists doesn't agree, they want universal value and political system, the so called "END of HISTORY".

To be honest, US liberal hegemony suit China's interest as well. Did you know that?

I wasn't talking about China.

But now that you brought up the subject, it is the same inherent insecurity that forces the Chinese government to constantly find flaws in western governance. They want to remind their own citizens the west is fatally flawed - their way is the only way.

It's the opposite. I am not China government, I only stand for myself.

I and most Chinese go abroad to learn something from other countries. But US citizens seldom come to China, they would rather live in their comfort zone, and their own illusion bubble created by US brain wash machine - Media.

There are 130 millions Chinese citizens go abroad annually, if our system is deeply flawed, Chinese have already overthrown our government.

You don't really understand China. Only some superficial knowledge. You have no idea how desperately and eagerly Chinese want to understand the outside world after 100 years of humiliation after 1949.

Every Chinese intellectuals want to learn from some so called advanced countries. China do made mistakes after 1949, we regretted deeply. We hope there is another political system can avoid tragedy.

In theory, US political system seems a good alternative. Many Chinese obsessed with your political system. But after so many years of learning, we found it's deeply flawed as well.

Chinese are mostly open minded. We don't have any issues to change our political system. Actually changing political system is our own political correctness. Every administrations will emphasized we will change it and we did. We call it reform. It has been going on since 1978.

When is last time US reform yourself? We see US stagnate, the deep state and so called elites have no motivation to reform, nor share the pie with ordinary US cizitions.

I am not an ideology guy, you misjudged me all the time. If US can approve to us that your system will work, superior. Then trust me, China will be the first to jump on the train, we can't wait for it.

China looks around the world, so disappointed. The whole western intellectuals stopped thinking, can NOT see the basic facts.

It's the US need political reform. None of our business.

They keep on attacking the US system of governance as if it is thé Western political system.
I wonder why they never attack the Western European democracies.

Because Europeans has some socialism in their mind, not the most brutal capitalism.

Everyday - what do you think happens in the non executive branch of the US government?
There is no sharing of the pie in the US, you have to make your own pie. :agree:

Congress' approval rating hasn't hit 30% in 10 years. That's a record.

If that's the reform, US citizens will say, Go F off, no thanks.

I met many US citizens, they are very angry on US government, they are not stupid. US is not reforming, but cutting bigger and bigger shares from bottom 50% US citizens.

Approval rating for congress? What a hilarious notion..
Congress isn’t intended to pass populist resolution, but to do the right thing - even if it is unpopular. The approval rating for congress has always been low. You can google approval ratings for congress going back a century.

Hahahha, are you really that naive? If elected reps are not there to fulfil the mandate of the people, then what are they there for? Ahhh to fulfil the wishes of the interest groups, lobbies are there for this reason?

I have been trying to explain this for years, US system is working for the elites. It started off as a system representing the landowning elites roughly 6% of the population at that time.

I couldn’t be bothered to explain the intricacies of our system. Besides who says it is wrong for business via SIGs to influence legislators. Why must popular legislation always pass and become law? If that was the case, many such laws would do irreversible harm to the country.

Take offshore drilling as an example, SIGs have spent millions of dollars trying to influence our politicians over many decades - has it happened? No, but corruption...what-about SIGs...but system broken..

I can cite many such examples from tobacco, pharma, oil, MICs where big businesses spent billions and failed.

US politics is too nuanced and intricate for someone raised in an authoritarian system to understand.
