They did a few things better than us and we do a few things better than them. They fought and killed hundreds and thousands and we do the same only; the difference is in technology available to us. They made pyramids, we made Burj-Khalifa. They could walk, we can fly even in space while were (at least in india) thought the Earth was flat and flying was a thing for dreams only. We can reach any part of the earth a matter of hours and survive much better, they did even know the expanse of the earth and took years to travel intercontinental.

Without those ancients developments you wouldn't be here enjoying your flight and modern lifestyle. Only a fool disparages and belittles his ancestors accomplishments. As Newton said....if I saw further, it is only because I stood on the shoulders of giants.

1000s of years in the future, your sort of people will again be mocking how we in the present live and go about our business.....and those that are more humble and contemplative will rather learn the particular set of strengths we had today and marvel what we accomplished with what we have.

The further and further economics gets removed from basic survival, we have more and more margin to either be arrogant and dismissive or humble and inspired at our origins and journey since. I hope most people are the latter.
