INDIA IS NOT THINKING OF

1. PLAN B
It’s what every government puts in place, even in Hollywood thrillers. When will we?.

2. LIFE AS A SUPERPOWER
What will our Islam policy be? What do we do about the UN? Will we have world-class products?.

3. 2050
What should our population be? How many states will we have? How do we travel? The works.

4. FOOD
We are dangerously addicted to potato and edible oil. Our food joints sell junk. It shows in the way we look.

5. CHINA
Barring icy civility, we don’t have a clue. There are incursions in Ladakh and Arunachal Pradesh. We watch.

6. DRUGS AND BOOZE
Our biggest blind spot. The number of addicts and alcoholics is rising in every state. We wait.

7. POOR LIFE ETHIC
We are not good with ambition and efficiency. We are poor executors. We are not the stuff of dreams.

8. CLIMATE
It’s hot in Srinagar. It’s parched in Bihar’s Gangetic belt. It’s pouring in Delhi in August. What gives?

9. HYGIENE
Gandhi was right. We are masters at spitting and urinating. We don’t wash enough. We fall sick too often.

10. BEASTLINESS IN PEOPLE
Can’t smile. Can’t greet. Can’t give way on the roads. Can abuse. Can beat. Can kill.

Erm, care to elaborate what do you mean by that?
India needs a policy for islam and muslims?

And what do you need plan B for? disaster,wars, etc, etc. You need to be specific.

India needs a policy for islam and muslims?

@Zeluvaa: Exactly my point. Why should we need an "Islam" policy? We are not an America for which it is an "immigrant" religion. Islam came to India when India was a superpower; and we assimilated it into our society just as one should do for any faith.

If we were to ever become a superpower again, Indian Muslims can teach the world's people (Muslims and Non-Muslims) what their "Islam" policy should be.

Disagree on the highlighted points above. 1 & 10 needs active attention with action - always.

Ser 4 is the bedrock of our society.

We do not need an Islam policy either. Muslims have as much right in and over India as anyone else. You do not need a policy for the religion the citizens of your country follow.

1) FAMILY PLANNING
2)RURAL EDUCATION
3)COMMON CIVIL CODE.
4)ALLOW COW SLAUGHTRING (small issue but important)
5) STOP CAST/RELIGION RESERVATIONS AND IMPLEMENT IT BASED ON POVERTY LINE (two or three layers).
6)accountablity of courts and number of courts.
7) strict rule to curb religious parties,hate speeches, etc
8) more public toilets,waste disposing systems,etc.

My points:-

INDIA (respective to GoI) is not thinking of
1) How to improve agriculture sectors
2) How to improve and made available Health sectors
3) Necessary steps/measures need to be taken care of many policies which still impacts business in India
4) Firm and stringent foreign policy (It is good but still shaky on many grounds)
5) Proper alignment of North Eastern states & J&K in to Indian development
6) Building of New metropolitan cities to decentralize business among many cities
7) Improvement in Transportation (Still it takes from trains to cover 600 km in 10 hrs)
8) Preventive measures on Corruption (Yes we have CVC/CBI/Anti corruption beureu but still not that effective)
9) Clear policy on Poor upliftment (There needs to be YoY wise proper plan which is not there)
10) Policy to regulate Population

India-(ns) thinking / not thinking of

1) Taking ownership - We dont take ownership and leave everything for GoI/Leaders while we love to break the rules. In simple terms we behave as Indians only outside India.

2) Proper use of strong tools such as RTI & Consumer forum :- There are very strong tools has been provided and utilizing the same can help us to lead better life not only for us but for others.

3) Respect to Humans: Sorry to say but we dont have respect for other human beings. We dont care what others are doing and what others will face but we enjoy our lives irrespective what our neighbours are facing. American govt may be bombarding Iraq and Afghanistan but in general Americans give ways, say hello, pay smile while we refrain from all these act.

3) Too much Criticizing/ Analyzing : We analyze and criticize too much to everything and many times I see so called Intellectuals include other angles of thinking which are absurds but creates a lot of confusion for others. Few to quote are Arundhati Roy, Barkha Datt etc
