Twice been to islamabad .... Both time one day transit .... still manage to visit Peer Sowaha & Faisal Mosque ... never knew about those spring treks may be next time IA ....

but had to be said .... Come to Karachi. Hamaray pass samandar hai :p

Pir Sahawa is the best place and best restaurant there MONAl...MUst have a meal there such a beautiful scenery around.

next time when u go to Faisal Masjid then make sure that u trek on trail-6 u missed that opportunity !!

keep an eye on surroundings,there are Monkeys and Leopards, last time i have seen Leopard on trail-6,if u go alone on trekking then things can go wrong

Trail 5 is better. There are couple of streams of water and natural springs there. During rainy season and summers, those springs are a big tourist attraction and many people go there.

Lol. Karachi is great. But Islamabad ki apni baat hai. The true beauty of Islamabad is in the Margalla hills. Next time you come. Just take a little hike on trail 5. Also do visit F9 park and Pakistan Monument.

Thanx Guys ... I will surely keep tht in my mind .. bust just so u know i was on transit to Gilgit, Skardu & Fairy Meadows ... so want to spend most of the time up north .. but if will stay over a couple of days in Islamabad ... will surely give it a shot ...

Its an egotistic city who won't show itself so easily.. portraying itself as unreachable by everyone...!!

Never liked this city it's cold both in behaviour and weather...!!

Just replace 5 with 6 & u have my ans trail 6 is beautiful & at some points you'll have mountains on both side after trekking for about 3km & water streams... let me post some pics of Trail-6

Daman-e-koh and Pir Sohawa are best places to visit in ISB. The Eye catching and Majestic sight of Faisal Mosque, The cloudy weather, the chilly winds, its a delight to live in ISB.

ISB 100 times better than Lahore , what Lahore? its an oven filled with Smog and other pollutions.

Well, Islamabad is not the same old boring city anymore. There's much more hustle and bustle now. However, still it is not anywhere close to Lahore or Karachi in terms of commercial activity and 'shor sharaba'. But one thing is for sure. When it comes to standard of living. No other city in Pakistan can compete with Islamabad.

Wow. Great photos. I never knew trail 6 also had water stream. Looks really good. Up till now I have only been on trail 3 and trail 5. I will surely try trail 6 next time when i go on hike. Where does trail 6 go? does it go all the way up to Monal?

Yep, I've been there twice Trail-6 natural beauty is unmatched

Where does trail 6 go? does it go all the way up to Monal?

From the end point u have to go further 3km to reach main road & from main road another 3 & a half km or 4km distance to reach monal
