And the money given to haqqania was and is used to turn a seminary into a modern University you should visit haqqania now You will see the difference in their curriculum and facilities it's called use of soft power and it works better than hard power within a dacade it will turn into a modern school, college, and University. SoAny country, where people thrive on fake news and destroy hospitals & shoot down police officers guarding polio vaccination teams on mere rumors, is a fertile ground for religious intolerance and extremism. It is possible that the recent international limelight on the carnage in Sri Lanka may also encourage more copycat actions elsewhere; especially so in Pakistan.
Unfortunately, PTI’s core vote bank is in the KPK where a large percentage of the population carries a soft spot for the Taliban. PTI by continually contributing large sums to the Haqqania seminary, the nursery of the Taliban, is helping in promoting extremist ideology rather than suppressing it.
Recent rumors about Ch Nisar being proposed for CM’s post in Punjab would make it worse. In my opinion, he along with Rana Sana Ullah was the main supporters of religious extremists during the PML-N regime. Had it not been for the courageous action of Gen Raheel Sharif after APS massacre; Taliban & LeJ would have carried on their killing spree unhindered. I sincerely hope that better sense prevails & Ch Nisar remains out of any political office for a very long time.
balochistan needs more soft power i am not saying not to use hard power when needed.
