These saving are not bad habits we should teach our children and youngster to save the resources, My mom always check my tooth paste before giving me new one from our store many times she shows how can I use my paste few more times. it is not being scrooge but you can save it and give it to needy. What makes you happy when you through away 25% unused stuff.

This is too much but still hold the value. By the grace of God since my childhood I never face any money related problems but my mom teach me many good things about wasting resources, Thanks to Mama.

I totally agree. My brought up is very similar. She always say, "beta kafiyat shari se rehte Hain". It teaches you many lessons about life.
But on lighter note, I enjoy reading it all. :p

Same goes with me. I used to find it mean in early stages of my life. When I was 12 something. But now I am really thankful her to for this all.

Saving and respecting available resources is a good habbit!

Oddly the metal containers tend to be more useful than the cookies (which are not anything special) . People keep odds & ends in them. I have a bunch myself.

And as someone pointed out people squeeze every bit out of toothpaste and shampoo bottles because they are too lazy/forgetful to buy a new one. I have a shampoo bottle upside down. Soon I'll be pouring water in it.

i am middle-class and i took the real hard way - dropped out in the second year of college... anyone else?? :azn:

3rd year of college. So far so good.
Hopefully, this time never comes. I want to done my studies ASAP. Can't take it anymore. :p
