1,007 DRDO scientists quit in five years

Since DRDO is a gov org,it's salary structure is tied to the way other gov functions. DRDO is asking for different sal structure as it is a R&D org not a production org. People are the asset there.

One of the problems facing DRDO recently regarding it's recruitment is engineers use DRDO as a jumping platforms for MNC research orgs.

Freshers who get in to DRDO get around 8k per month. Even if they work there for 6 months,private MNC are ready to pay them around 30k per month.

It is no wonder they switch.

1007 in 5 years makes around 200 average. Out of org strength running in thousands,200 per year. What is the big deal?

200 people quit from the company within 3 months from my friends company. And it is a British MNC.

Well Con it is simple the ones who are leaving will more than likely be the ones who are highly sought after by MNC's that is to say the smart ones.......And the people who quit one MNC will go to another one that is not the same thing...

Its 8000 ruppees. I know it is a pathetic salary for a scientist, even though it is a for fresher.
But lets also accept by working in the DRDO you do get other perks like free travel, food allowance, Free government apartment etc etc

That is true. Would you like to share what DRDO has done that is not known to the public and has become success other than small arms or so? The cruise missile you posted about is the only thing that validates your comment.
