Assam: Four million risk losing India citizenship

If they kick out every illegal Bangaldeshi from India, that would surely help India in the long run and BJP in 2019. Hope they show the guts. But seeing their past, i doubt....

Nirmala Sitharaman hands over 'Made in India' engines to Army

The production of T72M1 in India completed 18 years ago. It took us whole production run+ 18 years after the tank went out of production to fully indigenise its engine...? That's shameful and no matter for celebration.

Around 130 Mi17V5 (IAF got 138, out of which 6-8 are for VVIP duties) and 90 Mi17V (old version) (90 was the original number bought, can't say how many are active. Thats 220 around. All Mi8 have been retired in IAF, however 4-5 might still be active in Paramilitary forces.

10th Tejas to Join no45 squadron in a week

Falsehood. 1. HAL has already postponed the production of trainers to 2021. Means only 16 MK1 IOC2 aircrafts, not 20. 2. Mig21s, till now 6 squadrons have been replaced by either Su30MKI or Mig29UPG. Not one by a LCA till now. And with the way things are now, without the FOC, it seems the...

Naval LCA MK1 might not enter in production, but it will complete its objective of testing and certification which will lead to set of technologies being available to India for any other future Naval Aircraft.

U.S. State Dept OKs possible helicopter support sale to India: Pentagon

Separate. For Army Aviation. Else it would have been mentioned, as the 22 deal had a follow on clause.

U.S. State Dept OKs possible helicopter support sale to India: Pentagon

Depends upon the coustomer pretty much. Like for the 22 apache deal for Iaf, the number of engines were around 50, when only 44 are required. Instead of spares , extra spare engines are often bought, because in battle field, to replace the engine is easier than to repair it.

U.S. State Dept OKs possible helicopter support sale to India: Pentagon

Take for example the F16 proposal to Bahrain. Engines, Radars, etc everything is accounted separately under 1 single contract. And 2 engines are extra. http://www.dsca.mil/major-arms-sales/government-bahrain-f-16v-aircraft-support
