US fueling arms race in Asia - Telegraph UK

Yes.. I'm very well aware of the anti-Pakistan propaganda in Indian media too. But I don't allow that propaganda to influence my perception about Pakistan. And there lies the difference..

Is abusing of Indian members a norm here?

Firstly, I think I mentioned clearly in my first post in this thread that I'm not here to complain. I'm relatively new to this forum and I'm not used to such name-calling. Secondly, I don't know about you, but if someone indulges in pitty name-calling, there is a high probability that even me...

Is abusing of Indian members a norm here?

I believe there is no harm in having an active discussion over various sensitive issues like 1965 war and Kashmir dispute in general. But all members should refrain from silly name-calling. If the administrators don't agree with my viewpoint, I would willingly quit this forum.

US fueling arms race in Asia - Telegraph UK

I don't understand the fascination some people have here with poverty in India. Pakistanis pointing out poor people in India who lack basic needs is laughable. How many of you know that India has a higher per capita income (PPP and nominal) than Pakistan according to World Bank, CIA and IMF...

Is abusing of Indian members a norm here?

    I'll keep that in mind.

Is abusing of Indian members a norm here?

I agree. Even I at times go overboard with the name-calling. But this particular remark was a bit too much.

Is abusing of Indian members a norm here?

M_Saint posted a message calling me "bloody idiot Indian". Just to know, are such abuses a norm here? I'm not complaining but I just want to know.. as it would give me an insight regarding the mentality of the people here.

    The 1965 Indo-Pak war

Talk about credible, neutral sources! None. There were no similarities. Who said there were? India won the battle on both the fronts. Thanks reaffirming the versatility of the Indian armed forces. :toast_sign:

    Ever heard of Miss Pakistan?

Well.. nope. At least I don't. It was just an assumption.. nothing else. BTW, I just bumped across this article - http://www.nytimes.com/2008/12/19/nyregion/19bigcity.html?_r=1&em

    The 1965 Indo-Pak war

 You are talking as if India and Pakistan didn't fight a single battle on the Western front! Ever heard of Battle of Longewala and Battle of Basantar? No offense.. but you are so ignorant that I didn't even bother to read the rest of your comment. Enjoy!

    Ever heard of Miss Pakistan?

Yeah... but this is 'Miss Pakistan World' not 'Miss Pakistan'. It is held outside Pakistan and the winner takes part in Miss Tourism Queen International not in Miss Universe or Miss World pageants. And nothing about being ignorant dude. It wasn't as if I was taught in school that Pakistanis...

    Ever heard of Miss Pakistan?

I've never seen or heard about a Pakistani female participating in Miss Universe and Miss World pageants. Any specific reason? Perhaps another case of religion overshadowing female rights and equality. To those who don't know, Miss Venezuela was crowned as the Miss Universe today -...

US fueling arms race in Asia - Telegraph UK

And besides, there is a lot difference between the anti-India sentiment in Kashmir and the anti-Pakistan in erstwhile East Pakistan. Firstly, several pro-India political parties like NC and PDP are extremely popular in J&K. Anti-India sentiment in Kashmir valley is not as widespread as...

US fueling arms race in Asia - Telegraph UK

Hmm.. you mean targeting innocent civilians? We fought our war face-to-face with your army, we didn't fight our war against unarmed women and children. Only eunuchs fight or support such a war.

US fueling arms race in Asia - Telegraph UK

Those were different circumstances. Had Bengalis themselves not revolted against Pakistani government, had Pakistan not killed thousands of innocent civilians, had these people not immigrated in large numbers to India, we would not have intervened in East Pakistan. Had we actually...

India’s illegal occupation of independent Sikkim has to be reversed

Good points! Pakistani PM himself acknowledged that Pakistan lost several more troops than India did and by the time Clinton met with Sharif, only a couple of mountain peaks were under Pakistani control. Therefore, Pakistanis saying that India actually lost the war is laughable. We would have...

India’s illegal occupation of independent Sikkim has to be reversed

Uhm.. in what ways did India forcefully annex Sikkim? It was the Sikkim government which requested India to intervene in its internal affairs after large-scale riots and then a referendum was held in which Sikkimese voted in favor of India. Sikkimese love India. There is no major separatist...

    The 1965 Indo-Pak war
