I completely agree. Such reality shows are usually peopled by washed-up celebrities trying to extract a last few bucks from their status....sad really. But there are those who live by such shows. To each his own, I guess.

A big problem the Chinese vessels have is the shortage of fluent English speakers on board. When I was in the Merchant Marine, communicating with only-Chinese manned vessels was really difficult due to this reason, this also could be a reason they only contacted Chinese rescuers.

Hope they are in time, it seems that the pirates would have taken over before the PLAN warship arrives.
