Altay & Turkish Main Battle Tank Programs

It's not being sold to the Qatar army, it's being "rented" to BMC, in which a Qatari fund has %49 shares (and these are shares that don't grant control AFAIK). Though to be fair, the rent is so long (I think 25 years) for all intents and purposes, we might as well say sold.

    Turkish Engine Programs

Those renders are absolutely beautiful, hope they get realized soon. BTW is there any products that they're aiming to power with them or are these just general motors they're coming up with?

Akinci & Aksungur and Turkish Unmanned Fighter Aircraft Program

No, the current giants will have on par and better (though situational) products for the foreseeable near future. But it wouldn't be a big mistake to say that Turkey will be one of the best UAV producers in the future, even on-par with the US. Not even close today though.

TF-X Turkish Fighter & Trainer Aircraft Projects

It was always envisioned as Turkey's version of the raptor from its inception (AFAIK), but albeit had significantly lower specs, which was to be expected as we're talking about the US and Turkey here. It's heartening to see that the gap is actually going to be much narrower then previously...

Why Israel can overcome Iran militarily despite population and land size

This is the most shallow and silliest thing I've read here - and thats inspite of the tons of trolling that happened recently.

    Turkish Industry, Science and Technology

It's none of those things (in itself). It DOES help those things to grow and evolve, but in essence 5G is just the natural continuation of a telecommunication protocol. This time around apart from increasing speed 5G is laser focused on concurrent connections and routing as well as latency. So...

Akinci & Aksungur and Turkish Unmanned Fighter Aircraft Program

I was talking about the exact same thing with my wife yesterday. I remember not being allowed to buy UAVs, then being allowed to buy them with miles of strings attached on where and how we can operate them. Then I remember their servicing being a huge hassle and them breaking down left and...

US Likely To Stop Delivery Of F-35s To Turkey

Latest info on the TFX is that the air force has specifically asked the plane to be leaning harder towards an air superiority role.

Turkiye will totally change the rules of game in region: TF-X MMU Stealth Fighter

You mean payload capacity? Yes, sources say this is (likely) the first time that data was finally shared @9000kg's.

TF-X Turkish Fighter & Trainer Aircraft Projects

It's been known for some time now that the initial prototypes will use the F110. The latter prototypes and final plane will use an indigenous engine, whether it'll be %100 Turkish or a derivative of GE or someone else is still unclear AFAIK.

Turkey set to become largest operator of UCAV in Europe, Asia and Middle East

When we actually manage to produce them :) There's a couple of projects on going on multiple fronts for jet engines, including smaller ones for missles to larger ones for heli's and the TFX 5th gen fighter project. None is finished as of yet, but some are very close.

Not even permanent interests either. Those seem to change every decade or so too.

Translation : TUSAS MMU Engineering Integration Mngr. Cem Talip Ondes: Technical specifications of MMU. Engine power, wingspan and wing area have been increased. The Operational radius is also increased to 500 nm (~ 925 km). Also, I think the maximum payload was announced for the first time...

    GREECE occupied 16 Turkish Islands

This is over, we will have to accept and cede unfortunately. We made a huge mistake in letting things go this far - but after you let someone else build a whole city intact with police, military, education system and infrastructure in place - then I'm afraid you've lost your right to say...

    Turkish Geopolitics/ Foreign Affairs

The Middle east is plenty rich, even if we're looking at the poor countries there are other Muslim brother countries that are incredibly rich that can help them out. But Turkic countries are generally poor or have problems that no one else cares about. I agree that the ME is our back garden...

Altay & Turkish Main Battle Tank Programs

Currently the tanks we field have been going through extensive upgrades to the point that we've essentially rebuilt them... twice. The underlying technology and general assets can endure only so much upgrades until it's a weird "spider-pig" hybrid. Not to mention the effort (brainpower) and...

Erdogan: S-400 is a done deal. We will start co-production now and may work with S-500

That wasn't the point I was trying to make though. If Turkey exits ; The F35 will still fly It will still be used by the nations that already have them It will still sell some more I'm not refuting any of this. What I am saying though is that NATO is weaker because the F35 isn't used by...
