Abb lakeer peetney ka kya faida, those who don't want to understand will not understand.
IMHO, regardless to the fact that JFT will get upgrades in different blocks, we will still need a medium/long-legged fighter to fill in the gap of denied F-16s. JFT will always be limited in two areas...
45 squadrons? As per my knowledge, that is for two front war with Pakistan as well as China, Two front war is a BLUFF. China will never fight a war for Pakistan. China has good enough relations with India, will never fight a war of its own as well. Jingoism aside, while border skirmishes will...
It seems that IAF is on its way to buy every single type of fighter aircraft ever built on planet earth. I wonder why so much military equipment. This is essentially madness. A plan madness. They are going to conquer the whole world.
I usually comment purely on technical basis and was expecting the same. They will buy something irrespective of what we recommend. I take you comment as satire.
India has very good chance to have a local production line of F-16s, USA is offering them in a platter. Also, in MHO, F-16 is a time tested and much potent aircraft compared to Tejas. Why re-invent the wheel when you already have one. India should should focus their energies and grasp this...
TXF is a 2050 project. Not a glimps of it before that. V may look to accelerate J-31 program.
And this is called war mongering, utter madness.
Rafale is a real advantage for IAF, there is no doubt about that. Ironically, the more India advances in conventional warfare, more is the threat of...
I wonder why PAF still hasn't chosen its next tier-1 platform. Funds restrictions aside, I dont think there are too many options to choose from. I think they will have to invest in J-31 program BEFORE it become a nightmare to wakeup. I don't think Su-35 is suitable for PAF, though Mig-35 may be...
@MastanKhan
The J-10C may well replace the role of our Mirages. I wonder if we can spend more than $4bn on a single Bakr Eid, why can't we spend that amount to protect our very country. One of the reason may be b/c Army sucks up most of the budget allocated for defense.
I think Su35s will be very difficult to maintain compared to F-16s. I find this deal unrealistic and maintenance nightmare for Pakistan. Also Pakistan has not got enormous amount to keep a large fleet. I think the best bet is to purchase some used F-16s from international market. Meanwhile...
