Couple of things though.
1. This ship is certainly bigger than Kolkata class. 8000 tons approxiamately .
2. The ship has a higher chance of getting 127/64mm gun as forward area or bow is longer.
3. CIWS is possibly Maitri with revati radar and new gun based CIWS or AK 630/ SR SAM...
Dammit PK Sengupta was right!
The P 15B and P 15A are absolutely same except it will be a lot cleaner and it will have a new Volume Search Radar like RAN 40L.
PK Sengupta said as per his sources the INS Kolkata has 64 Barak 2 missiles. It has 32 ready to fire VLS and 32 rounds that are stored...
Dadaji ke paalu me chupta hai na? Naughty Boy!
We are not as good as China currently but in 7 - 12 yrs we will be there.
For proof check out our military technology 10 yrs before and now!
They don't even make the howitzers! They "import" it! No ToT, instead ToT was a 2007 rag of an urdu article. The Panther suprisingly has similar performance to Dhanush, except our Dhanush is maneuverable and has a better rate of fire!
Guys why bother arguing with a beggar?
Two corrections to Aeronaut:
1> Pakistan DOES NOT build any howitzers at home! It has ~ 40 Panther Howitzers. SIPRI sadly is very unreliable as they have no concrete data and even they show no ToT refernence, just orders given to replace old 155mm stock...
BS : HAL Tejas was meant to get FOC by 2014 end or early 2015 i.e 15 months after FOC II. It will get it as the number of issues to be sorted are less now.
Regarding other 5 aircraft under production :
To all the old wise Chinese people here :woot:, I have some questions regarding the J 20:
1> The PAKFA weighs 66000 pounds at takeoff weight , it is shorter than the J 20, by some estimates I calculate the takeoff weight (nominal @ half fuel load) to be around 75000 - 80000 pounds.
PAKFA...
That talks of VLS cells not extra rounds carried onboard a ship. Even INS Viraat carries extra rounds with it.
Arleigh Burke Flight II and before had a crane that could load it's replacement rounds weighing upto SM 2 MR. This ensured reloading could be done without a replenishment ship or in...
Vertical Launch System (VLS) - an arrangement for launching guided missile weapons vertically from a prepackaged canister. This maximizes both weapon storage space and availability as well as minimizing complexity - the launch system is open to the sky, meaning that the weapons need not be moved...

Indian warship building is coming of age and the Indo-Pacific region knows it. Last week, when an Indian Navy frigate, INS Shivalik, visited China’s Qingdao naval base, China’s navy chief, Admiral Wu Shengli, asked the captain for a tour of the...
As per all sources online, most come up with the 64 number. The pictures show 32 vls. Even that official I spoke to mentioned atleast 48 Barak 8s. Question is where did the VLS unit disappear. A probable answer may be that the VLS unit is stored on the ship. I asked Ajai Shukla and P K Sengupta...
No official info but apart from the article, my talk with the official and the two experts we have nothing.
48 rounds is a done deal, 64 maybe.
Type 052D in operation can carry 32 SAM (HHQ 9/HHQ 16) only as 24 round FN 3000 is only good for intercepting mach 1.6 AShMs. Rest 32 cells are...
