    Kashmir The Freedom of Struggle

The APHC are fundamentalist crapsters, they are made up of the chaps that kicked out the Kashmiri pundits, so they hold no moral ground on this issue. They are scared of standing for elections since they have no standing even amongst the local Kashmiri muslims barring a few of their cronies...

No aircraft engines to Pak, please

I stand corrected, I just guessed it was a Crotale. It has been mentioned in this forum (by the Air Marshal) that it was a ground based radar unit and SAM system. The SAM may be of a different make, but the Mig-21 was not hit by a MANPAD but by a SAM system. That thread has been deleated...

    great sultan aurangzab alamgir

Aurangzeb ordered the beheading of Guru Teg Bahadur, and sawing off his 2 followers in Chandni Chowk, Old Delhi, for refusing to convert to islam. These was all that the people needed to see. What "brahmin popaganda" do you speak off, when there were real life examples of brutality? Not to...

    Sniper SChool

No it is not going out of fashion, it has just come in. In my time we did not have these .50 cal rifles, so we modified a 14.5mm Kpwt with a scope, and managed to harass our counterparts at almost 3-4 km. I say harass since I don't know if we did any real damage, but we did reduce day movement...

No aircraft engines to Pak, please

Because the MIG-25 was flying at 65,000 ft and PAF air defences did not have anything in their arsenal that could reach that high. http://www.spyflight.co.uk/foxb.htm

    great sultan aurangzab alamgir

The only good thing about Aurangzeb was that he was a good administrator, he built public works and spent money on the state and not on himself. He himself took no wealth except what is needed for daily living. His greatest undoing was his fanatical evangelism that led to forced conversions...

No aircraft engines to Pak, please

The Mig-21 (Sqn Ajay Ahuja) was hit by a Cortale SAM system and not by a MANPAD. The Mi-17 and Canberra were hit by Stingers, destroying the Mi-17 and damaged the Canberra that made it back. As for the Mig-27, it flamed out or was hit by a MANPAD, take your pick, the facts may be known to...

    great sultan aurangzab alamgir

I refute Bannerjee by a simple fact, the rise of the Khalsa panth. The establishment of the Khalsas and rise of the Sikhs as warriors is directly proportional to the discrimination they suffered at the hands of the mughals especially Aurangzeb. Why was Guru Teg Bahadur was killed?...these are...

    Kashmir The Freedom of Struggle

No Shah Nawz wanted to join Pakistan because he was one of the richest landlords in Sindh. The situation in the state after the Nawab decided to join Pakistan became very grim, the sequence of events were as under:- - On October 27, 1947, the dewan of Junagadh wrote to Jinnah describing the...

If I am not mistaken there was no lock-on, since the weapon mode selected was on gun, there was as brief moment when missile mode was selected but there was no lock-on. Maybe MuradK sir could clarify for me.

    Kashmir The Freedom of Struggle

Not Gujarat, but the principality of Junagarh in the state of Gujarat. BTW, GOI did not intervene in Junagarh, until it was invited by none other than the Dewan of Junagarh, Sir Shah Nawaz Bhutto, the father of the former Pakistani Prime Minister Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto, and grandfather of Benazir...

Villagers shot dead in NE India

What is the harm? I prayed in my unit gurudwara, (while in serivce), and found it no different from Sharda Sharif. I found the same peace that I find when in a church. If one stops looking down on other religions as something of a sin, things will be much better.

    1971 facts from fiction

That is unfair, the seeds of 1971 lay in the 1965 war. Pak should'nt have tried Op Gibraltar in J&K, now its a tit-for tat, never ending game.

Pakistan says Kashmir not its part, people there should decide

I shall answer Arundati Roy's questions, and try and show how idiotic those questions are. BTW Arundhati Roy is....India's hippi kid, so don't take her too seriously. Its funny at one point, Afzal's brother claims the opposite...that his brother was active with the Jaish-i-Mohd militants...

Russia objects to India plans to sell BrahMos missiles

Why should Russia object? The BrahMos is a 50:50 JV, so the sale proceeds are split between the two nations. I think there maybe a copy right issue which needs to be sorted out.
