what the hell do the SSG have to do with preventing attacks by lunatics. there task is completely different. I dont think you understand the concept of special operations forces. :pakistan:
No this has changed. Most people are supportive of the military actions that are taking place. That is one of the reasons why this operation has been so successful
it has been shown from time to time that Mr Roggio does exagerate the mistakes of the Pakistani army all the time. As AM has shown in numerous posts.
I do agree that the taliban have escaped but I am sure that the army made contingencies for that and that is why we see operations in other agencies.
Ok we have plenty of crazies in our country too. There are people like this in every country even in the US. So lets not read into this so much. I think there are a large number of indians who would be equally appalled by this as i am.
This same thing also happens in Pakistan lets not forget...
i think the decision making circles are quite clear where the threat comes from. Plus the conspiracy theories that he is talking about is done by some fringe elements not the entire media. So Mr Rashid is over generalizing a little bit.
As far as one media outlet trying to oust the government...
I agree with Justice Bhagwandas at the helm i think the hiring process will be based more on merit than connections. This is a good sign that things in Pakistan are hopefully changing for the better.
yeah i looked at this interview yesterday. i have to say hearing him was very reassuring that things are bad but good people are working to make them better and they slowly are getting better.
As far as incursion into Afghanistan goes i think this can lead to complication and we should refrain...
For the first time i actually agree with Ahmed Rahsid on something. These conspiracy theories are getting out of hand and i have to admit that i cannot find any talk show host talking about the economy. which i think if gets better will do a lot of good.
But i think talat hussain does a very...
No pakistan is also facing problems of militancy that is not taking things into account. We have a border with Afghanistan which has been in a state of perpetual civil war for the last 30 years. India does not have that. The problem that pakistan is basically facing is that of infrastructure...
Bruse Reidel is the chicken little of all terrorism experts. the guy was of the opinion that the swat offensive would fail and then i heard him say the in waziristan the army is going to suffer heavy casualties and seeing the this taliban in the Punjab will rise up and suddenly pakistan will be...
Lets get something clear this is the washington times not the washington post. this is a paper that is owned by a extreme wright wing christian preacher. So lets not spend so much time on a report from a paper that really has no legitimacy even in the US.
The article here is old. this was before the success of the swat operation. Things did really look pretty gloomy for pakistan back then. The situation has changed since april.
i think this should be taken up with arab countries that there national are now involved in wholesale slaughter of Pakistani civilians and also the money that comes from those countries is used to destabilize pakistan.
