CHina did well with its medal haul. Efficiently sweeping medal haul is one thing But for china to be really seen as a sporting nation and reap the soft power benefits of being seen one - it must do well with popular team sports. Thats where the passion of the world is .
Even in US olympic stars...
At least on paper i see nothing wrong with that chinese govt is doing when it comes to big tech companies of china. it is clear for too long these Ali baba, didi, tencent etc got away with stuff they couldnt get away in usa.
It is also clear the market value of these chinese tech giants is...
Chinese govt went after them. Its not the loss of chinese govt. They may not be really wrong. China is trying to formalize its economy and bringing these huge companies to task in matters of privacy and anti-competitiveness. But world is cagey whether china is capable of consistent applying rule...
That competitors thing works until you reach the top echelons. After that what competition - with your enormous power to "reward" loyalty. Not very satisfactory answers, I am not saying two party is the best. But just logically exploring.
No this cannot be good no matter which way you look at it. But blame does not go to CPC fully. It turns out many chinese companies made money in a manner which will be illegal in usa. Like Alibaba forcing merchants to sell to them exlusively and not accepting other payment modes.

The real question is how large is the fixed landing site area ? if it is 10,000 square kilometeres then it is no big use. If it is 10 meter square then you are talking.

I beleive that this train is capable of 600kmph is a belief not a proven fact. I do respect chinese train engineers - they accomplished a lot - so i wont discount the belief but its certainly odd advertiziing the speed of a train without a track or an experiment.
Maybe your newspapers are stupid
" Although the maglev prototype train is about to be rolled off the production line, there is no track line for the 600 km/h high speed maglev train in China yet. "

In US steel can be anywhere from 11 to 2 times more expensive than...
