You cant just jail somebody for having a view. Mullahs are religious and community leaders hence they have certain respect. You need specific evidence of their wrongdoings. How will you charge them? Also, as you said, any educated muslim young man can turn into terrorist for any reason he wants...

Dont know about pakistan, but in India, honour killing is not a religious issue. There are specific regions in India(e.g. north Indian states bordering punjab) where this happens, and perpetrators can belong to any religion.

Meera and veena malik are exception, there is no pakistani actress in India, simply because too much competition within India. No pakistani actor too for same reason. Where as in music, I am sure most people will agree, pakistanis artists are very very good.

There are bad apples in every organization. The difference is how the authority acts about it, once they are detected. I remember one Indian strike corp's commander being dismissed from service for aggressively positioning the troop near LOC which pakistanis complained.

Defence forces are like dog and GoI is like the master. The responsibility rests with master,whether dog misbehaved on its own or did something on the instruction of the master. I was just telling there is no evidence of master giving any such direction.

Some Indian artists do complain about pakistanis being allowed in India to do stage shows etc where as they are not allowed in pakistan. Jagjit is one of those guys. I dont think anybody will listen to them, as long as there is market, and people like the voice, nobody can stop it.

Navy does not apologize, it is GoI's job to deal with foreign govts. I am sure they will take appropriate action, against the captain, as well as pacify the pakistanis.

It was a localized incident, and usually the local commander(in this case captain of the ship) is responsible for taking action. One does not wait for govt or even superior's order for these. It is sure that the ship was asked to provide assistance, if there is specific wrongdoing by the captain...

Govt does not react to things like these, it is the captain of the ship which does. Not sure about his balls. Do you think GoI asked the Indian ship to do it? Why bring govt, when it is clearly the specific navy guy who acted like a prick.
