Actually LPG used to be a great headache. Acquiring cylinders which would take days to arrive , plus corruption and scarcity. Also there were only certain no. of cylinders allowed per family per year. On the other hand piped gas is uninterrupted , cheap and hassle free. No interaction with PSU's...

We already have piped gas here in Navi Mumbai. Its cheaper, and I think its methane gas instead of the regular LPG.
